    #4438656 - 07/22/05 05:03 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

Ok, these cant be foe's because the gills arent brown at all.... heres the description!
Habitat: In the woods in small clusters (2-3 per cluster)
Gills: Spaced apart, whitish color.
Cap: light brown, and the belt is dark brown.
Stem: light brown
Height: 1-3 inches
Length (cap): half inch to one inch.
Sporeprint: In Progress....

Enjoy!

Cap looks to rough to be a psilocybe. Definately not a foe or a subb. Maybe some kind of inactive panaeolus. Or a species of the genus psathyrella.

In Reply to Gumby: Oh! I have found alot of those in lawns and such. Always in a 4-5 foot ring. I new they were call "Fairy Ring" Mushroom, but have heard that they are toxic. I will have to find some and cook them. That source says that they are excellent. Thanks for the link Gumby.

NOTE: I don't think the ones chicken nugget found are Marasmius Oreades, though. They don't look it, and I have never seen those growing in the woods. I guess that doesn't rule it out, though.

Really hard to tell from pictures. It doesn't look like marasmius oreades but it could be in the same genus. Definately gonna need the spore print.
