that has nothing to do with consumerism..

consumerism is about buying and throwing away and then buying again, not caring about anything you have bought.

Materialism is about having.
consumerism is about spending money

I'd much rather live in a consumer based economy than have to go out and hunt my own damn food everyday. Thats all I was saying.

You don't have to hunt everyday if your in good conditions. In fact hunter gatherers don't spend all their time at survival. They would less than the average American, and have much more leisure time.

I always wanted to figure a way to have some of both styles. Do you think this could be done?
