FREEDOM FIGHT 2005

Saturday me and some friends roadtripped up to Quebec to watch the Freedom Fight 2005 MMA competition. It was fuckin' great. We got there at about 5, went to the convenient store and bought lots of beer (Quebec is the only place in Canada where you can buy beer just about anywhere) got hammered in the parking lot till about 8:00. The first fight was a knockout in the second round. The guy that got knocked out was the same guy my friend fought and won his title about a year prior. The second fight was a guy my friend trains with. He was an undercard bout on the Canadian team and beat the American with a second round choke out. It was a good match.

Then we went out to the parking lot to drink more in between fights only to find more fights in the parking lot. Two guys were yelling at each other then one came back with a tire iron, I was waiting for someone to get killed, then their bitches jumped in and started fighting. So after that unscheduled fight we go back inside, drink more, watch more fights. Come back outside and watch another parking lot fight (fucking great) this guy and the driver of the same car beat the shit out of each other, take it to the ground and everything, then they get up give each other dirty looks then get back in the same car (WTF?) So we go back in and watch the last couple fights.

The Americans one more bouts than the Canadians but all in all it was fucking awesome. Tito Ortiz was the American team captain and Gary Goodridge was the captain for the Canadians. The guy we went to go support won his fight. I have video footage that I may post when I get around to editing it. Then when it was all over I passed out in the backseat on the way home with a half eaten chicken sandwhich in my mouth for like 4 hours. Worst taste ever but best saturday night ever. got home around 7am still drunk. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
