Re: the ethics of suicide. [Re: Ravus]

Ravus, I tend to agree with this whole post, and this part struck me as something right from my own head and heart.

Nothing's actually wrong with suicide though. We all die eventually, so what's a few years or a few decades sooner? No matter what path we take, we will all come to the same end. The pain that is caused will die out, whether in a few weeks or a few decades, and soon the person will be forgotten either way.

To see death as a loss?  What does the Tao say? Doesn't  Tao brings us into being, nurture and suckle us, but  it has no concern as to the eventual outcome/demise. All of our feelings of loss and pain, are ignorance of Tao.

Some may say it is their innately death-fearing ego that keeps them from realizing that they could rejoice to Nothingness in any moment at their own choice.

Or it could be Hope that things will get better. It's usually people who have lost hope of that possiblity who kill themselves.

1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you.
2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

All I can say if you think about suicide...think about this:
Just for a second, eleminate all thoughts about every human... ... ... now see, how prescious, wonderful, fantastic and adorable the ecosystem of planet earth is...how useful..how well-thought..how logic.... stay on this for a good while.... ... ... do you feel the comfort ?
Ok, now, blend the humans in again... ...do you see now, why you are so angry, so hopeless ? There are some humans, who ruine everything and infect other humans with their brainshit !
So, fix this reason ! Clear this reason, before you die, please, please, please !

"Misery (or Hell) is other people"

I think it was Jean Paul Sartre who said that.
