So the most important part would be a change of attitude, for people to come together and work together with common goals and shared love and respect for one another and their environment.

I'm not saying it couldn't work. I firmly believe that it can. But if humanity escapes a dying planet with the same ignorance and dysharmony that we had on earth then our new artificial systems wont last very long.

if space colonization were to work we would have to work together to reach out and EXPAND a harmonious biosphere, instead of ditching the poor fuckers who are stuck on a dying earth and create "new and better ones"

oh and also, I believe that destructive violence is not the problem, it is a symptom of a larger problem.

It has been proven that violence increases in times of economic and social strife...
