Preparing for the death of Swami:
    #4258717 -

No one likes to think of such things, but it IS bound to happen eventually. Our beloved Swamster, the magic meister, that lemone' sheister will leave us. One day HE will simply evaporate like so much gas into the atmosphere leaving us forever bereft of reason.

Let's face it. This man has been making due with one half for some time now. Only one kidney. Only one functioning brain hemisphere. It's dire, folks! How much longer can we keep propping this man up before he collapses like a wet noodle?? He's pushing Fifty for God's (looks both ways for Swami) sake!

How do I propose we solve this impending crisis?

Well, I humbly suggest we elect a successor to Swami in case his health fails suddenly.

Many names come to mind..Frog, Fireworks_god, MarkosTheGnostic, that new guy what's his name..?

Who will continue to lead the Swami Philosophy board after he is on the wrong side of the dirt?

Of all people, I cannot believe Diploid isn't mentioned. Or Sclorch.

Frog and Markos don't really "fit" Swami's shoes, IMHO.

If PinkSharkMark [aka Phred] posted here more often, I would definitely nominate him.

Dippy, Sclorchy and Pinky. The Swami-Trio club-sandwich.

Now that I think about it..you, Skorp might just fill the bill. I have seen your picture and with perhaps a readjustment of lighting and some photoshop you would make a nice Puppet Swami (not Gustavo) until we can train a suitable replacement. Are you willing to give it a whirl? (We will provide you with a suitable database of Swami-esque sayings to get you by during those first few awkward months).

What say you?

Will you be my gerontologist?

Does this mean I will have to join the G.I.L.F. Association?

Am I going to have Swami's Costco card to buy Ben-gay in bulk quantities?

I have many questions.. but no answers.

I haven't seen anyone on this forum that makes me stop in the middle of a post and not know what to say anymore, exept Swami.
Swami is the only one that can really make you give up on arguments

I think finding someone to replace him would be like a bad joke

Sure many take his side in discussions, but that is not the point. It's not about sides, Swami would be no less of a discussioner (is that a word?) if he was on the other side of his discussions.
It's the technique

I have found many here make me stop and admit I might be off track. Swami does it too but not more than others. He may be forceful at times but he is not right or wrong more than others.

I am amused at the awe, people have for this fine man. :mushroom2:

Damn straight I don't! Who needs a case of athlete's foot, sweat-drenched from racket-ball. And as to Frog, who used to have an avatar that showed some fine leg-work of her own (hey, it's tough to compliment a lady on her legs when she goes by the name 'Frog,' I mean, Frog's legs do NOT look like frog's legs, they're nice legs, and they wouldn't be appreciated in Swami's shoes).

Preparing For Swami's Death

*sharpens a few knives, cleans his guns, packs a duffel bag with ammunition and various other accessories (including piano wire), prints off that picture of Swami with the Holidy cookies to use as a reference, fills the car with gas and purchases a Nevada road map....*

Swami will never die. He's too full of piss and vinegar to go THAT easy!

(Note: In the South (and probably elsewhere), the term is used for someone who is ornery and full of fire. It's not a  pejorative term)

You could check out the poker rooms, but apparently Swami plays online in order to keep his job at S&P.

Just a hunch, you might want to go to the racketball clubs in Las Vegas and check their trash for broken rackets. That would at least isolate the club Swami plays at. From there, find the most skeptical looking old guy.

well, we already learned that he doesn't mind if we desecrate his burial ground.

I think we should go sing Khumbayah over it and test the rolling over in ones grave theory. :stoned:

Don't ya know? (Maybe I'm not supposed to share this, .. )

As the original swami, is to precious to be lost, as he was birthed, the real swami was jarred, and whence need, a new clone is conceived..

its like a 'harvest circle', there's always one ready for consummation..

never fear, for swami will be there, always!!!
