microwave casing???

I have heard alot about microwaving the casing substrate... does this work well?? even with colonized quart jars with rye? any other easy casing ideas??

you don't microwave the colonised substrate, you nuke the casing mix (i.e. your verm, or 50/50 or whatever) to sterilize it.

get a bowl of yor casing mixture made up and add a lil more water. then put it in the mic for 5-10 min, take it out and stir it around a while till its cool. crumble your cakes into a pan or something with a moist verm layer on teh bottom and your fresh casing on the top. dont mic the mycellium tho! if you do it will die instantly all be totally gone in like 2 days.
