This is in response to the article in the grow/find - growing p. cubensis section of shroomery.com:
Does anyone out there know where to acuire Desmanthus Illinoesis rootbark? I am very interested in trying this method out but I would even know where to start to look for this item.

Its been shown that DMT is very poorly absorbed by cubensis mycelium, and a methanol extraction would not yeild very high, as well as Desmanthus does not contain a considerable amount of DMT. The potency increase would be so minor that it would be hard to notice with a bioassay. He probably just grew a more potent strain and assumed his methods had succeeded. If he had performed a much broader experiment using cloned mycelium in a variety of different substrates as well as the desmanthus added one and the addition was still significantly more potent, then I would be more inclined to believe it.

Check out http://www.herbal-shaman.com . They carry Desmanthus Illinoensis root in 30g "sampler" bags. *MY FRIEND* picked up 90g himself and is eager to see if the method involving infusion of vermiculite makes a difference. I have my own doubts about whether or how well this method will work, but *MY FRIEND* is definitely going to give it a go. Keep us posted!

A methanol extraction would not yeild any dmt. A, acid would be necessary, methonal works fine for psil because the 4ho and 4po are so damn polar.

Vinegar would work fine.
