Unusual movie suggestion while tripping...

While I'm sure everybody has their own favorite movies for tripping (and this subject has probably been done to death...) I'd like to share one of my favorite experiences. I was on a medium dosage of mushrooms (I'd say a +2, it was tea) with two of my friends, and we decided to smoke a bit of weed and watch TV. One of the movies that was on at the time was "Demolition Man". I would just like to say I had never seen the movie to this point, and the utter absurdity of the movie was great! The action sequences, the horrible (typical) action movie acting, and the whole sci-fi premise were all so absurd, yet hilarious at the time. Usually I don't have the attention span for movies while shrooming, but we had done a low enough amount to make fun of the movie the entire time. Sylvester Stalone, while this movie was terrible, it was highly enjoyable that night, and I still thank you for Rocky.

Anybody have any other unusual movies or TV shows they found entertaining while tripping? At least that don't fall into the typical "Trip" movie category?

Jurassic Park! I hate Steven Jewberg and all of his movies, but this one was just fucking hilarious while tripping!!

The best part is when the T-rex gets out and the water is rippling on the dashboard **boom..... BOom.... BOOM*** LMFAO!!!! How about the chase scene and Whatsherface's blood curdling scream when the rex is right on their tail!!? I can just see Speilburg in between takes going "Okay, your motivation; you're being chased by a tyrannusaurus rex... (slowly backs away)... ACTION!!"

That was THE best night of uncontrollable giggling (probably the first in a LONG time) I've ever had!!

I remember the first time i tripped i watched some episodes of Kevin and Perry. It was hilarious. Relate characters from the movie to people they seem like in real life and its funnier X1000.

I love to start and end my trips with movies.

Check out 2001: A Space Odysey by Staley Kubrick.
I like to plan it so I see the ending Hal/Jupiter scene when I am peaking... It's so fuckin awesome

When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I had a script for hydrocodones and began watching 2001 space oddessey after taking about three pills.  It could have been the drugs at the time, but that movie seems incredibly long to sit through, even when doped out.  The monkey scene at the beginning was pretty cool as well as other parts of the movie, but the movie just seemed to long to get interested in.  Maybe opiates should be discouraged for this movie, although I've never seen it sober or on any other type of drugs...  :confused:

Every time I have tripped by myself and had the TV on, Star Trek: Voyager was ALWAYS on either during or right after the come-up. I find the borg are really cool to look at while on shrooms, as are photon torpedoes  :grin:

I agree 100%! I am a 2001 fanatic. I wish I could go back in time and relive my first experiences with tripping while watching that movie, because they were so mind-blowing.

2001 is one of my favorite movies, but I don't really enjoy watching it while tripping. I did once, the OVERTURE part is fucking intense, as is the monkey scene, and the jupiter/monolith scene. But the movie is just too slow and quiet.

I would also suggest watching The Wizard of Oz synchronized with Floyds' Dark Side of the Moon! Hit play after the Lions' second roar before the title and it matches up perfectly! It doesn't play all the way through, but it's still cool as fuck! I suppose you could put the album on repeat. If you play any music to any movie it has the same affect. I once played Cypress Hill while watching The Fantasic Four and it looked like the characters where rapping about weed! LOL!

Watched that the first time i tripped on acid... i highly recommend it. I had a kinda low quality encode so there was some pixalization and blockyness and i was trippin in em. Made it's own little movie to go along with the song on top of 2001  :thumbup:

I have never seen a movie on shrooms but I've still watched some Dave Chappelle and some other stuff.

T.V. is shit, but I enjoyed watching BET un:cut... that shit was intense lol!

There was this video where this rap group was just rapping about fuckin bitches and it showed alot of hoes having liquor poured on them while they shook their asses and flashed their *hamburbers* if you know what im saying.

I was not tripping hard but was very entertained. I really enjoyed the flow these guys had, and although they are a pretty useless group that just raps about the same shit the other 80% of wack emcees rap about, I was still feeling their flow. On a high dose this could equal some nasty thought loops, with the whole exploitation of the female and all... but fuck, it was damn entertaining!

Dude, Natural Born Killers is my favorite movie of all time!!! I could watch it every day and at the end of it each time I'd still be like *WOW*! The whole cast and crew were tripping on shrooms while making it!

It's so intense though, I don't think I'd want to take my mind to that place while tripping, especially considering my "history"...

Generally I don't like to watch ANY movie while tripping. I mean, my attention span is just way too short, and by the time the movie is over I've peaked and am comming down and the whole time I didn't do anything but sit on my couch staring at the goddamn tv! It's very rare that I can really get into a movie.

But that is definitely a great list of movies! They should add fight club on there, just cause it's so damn good. Plus there is that cool "salvation through self destruction" theme. The soundtrack is one of my favorite trip cds. If you've never heard it, GO OUT AND GET IT NOW!!

I think if I watched TV while I was tripping... I might smash my TV.... some movies might be ok... but I could not imagine spendnign a trip in front of the TV.... watching TV (whther it is movies or not) is such a mind-numbing act... and mushrooms is the exact opposite for me... I wouldnt be able to handle it...

Clone high, man! CLONE HIGH! It's not on TV anymore so downloading it on bittorrent or something is pretty much yer only option, but damn is that show great while tripping. It's about a high school where all of the students are clones of famous historical figures (lincoln, cleopatra, jfk, jesus, caeser, etc.) It did a single season stint on MTV and was then cancelled (as all great animated MTV shows are). It's absurd, intelligent, animated, and hilarious. Highly recommended.

Try some of the Led Zeppelin dvd's. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory might be a trip as well.
