That is a great one, I got to see The Wall at a midnight showing a few years back my friends and I just stumbled out of the theater after it was over, completely silent the whole trip home. But, My all time favorite is Clockwork Orange

A manga: Escaflowne, the movie - A girl in gaea. Perfect for a shroom trip, a nice fantasy world like one that could exist in your own mind instead of life actors with a realistic story. Lots of emotion, very good animation and voices (japanese version that is). I've seen that movie 4 times in a row the first time I saw it on shrooms

The Wall, of course but try this: The wizard of Oz. Just when the lion roars at the very very beginning, befor the actual movie starts, start playing The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. The cd is like a soundtrack to the movie. Its cool while trippin, if ya time it right.

The Howling 2 is my favorite trip movie. You gotta love the fact that Steve Parsons was directly involved and his brother was the lead singer of the punk band in the movie. It's pretty fun to watch while tripping. Not as good if your not trippin... Definatly worth a viewing while at a nice level 3.

I've only seen one movie while tripping. Usually I can't sit still long enough to watch a movie. The one movie I did see while tripping was the anime flick Ninja Scroll. It was awesome. The part where the snake lady had all the snakes crawling on her skin was just amazing. I felt like I was watching pure evil.

though I'd rather not watch a movie when tripping, I actually go with Dazed and Confused, I watched it on my first shroom trip and it brought me out of what was starting to be a pretty hellish trip and into pure level 3 bliss ... it may not seem like a trip movie but it truly just has such a happy vibe that I had to watch it twice that night, hah ... and it made the comedown perfect as well IMO alice in wonderland is a poor poor choice despite it's obvious trip influence, because it has been shown with many people (including me) to provoke really bad trips. it does have a kind of negative feel to it, like a bad trip, so I dunno ... I've had two bad trips with it, wouldn't touch it again (on both acid and shrooms)

I've never done it, but I've always wanted to see Kubrick's 2001: a Space Odyssey while tripping. Particularly the 'Jupiter and Beyond' sequence.

Some of my faves have been mentioned already. The Wall, Yellow Submarine, Fantasia. I would add
The Triplets Of Belleville (So good, and no dialog. All communication is done through other means), The 5000 fingers of Doctor T, American Pop (although it can get heavy in the same way as The Wall) Heavy Metal.

Best on LSD/LSA/mescaline. Awful on ayahuasca (the entities do not like anything that takes the focus off them even masturbation) and not so great on mushrooms for similar reasons, but is pretty great after the peak.
With LSD though mind-blowing!
You get lost in it for infinity and the time dilation and bewilderment/astonishemnt is incredible.
Going out into nature is wonderful, but with TV you can experience things that are simply impossible in real life.

Nature is definitely the best, but Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was great! However, I don’t have experience tripping with any other movies. Technology usually fucks me up tripping because I think about how much of my life is spent looking at screens.

Several have been mentioned already here that I would 100% recommend, like Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas (incredible tripping classic, maybe the best) and Samsara & Baraka (as spiritual as it gets).
But I'm going to pick

A kid finding a portal to another alternate reality where her mom is a demonic child serial killer? And she has button eyes??
Coraline tripping is nuts for real.
And it's not computer animated, it's all stop motion. The 3D blu-ray is the most epic if you got a 3D capable TV handy (and a 3D capable blu-ray player), but if not the regular blu-ray will do.

I find that whatever your favorite movie is, that's the best trip movie.
Then again, I always have a great time with almost any movie I watch while tripping. Real classic cinematic masterpieces are maybe the best, but they would be the best sober anyway so it makes sense that they would still be that good while tripping.
It also depends on what mood and mindset you want to put yourself in. Different movies have different feels to them. It depends on how you want your trip to go; light, dark, nostalgic, awe-inspiring.
I recommend just trying a bunch and seeing where things go

This may sound odd, but - watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas has helped pull me out of a bad trip, enable me to laugh. Misery loves company, you know?
Also, I second the Animatrix as a beatiful, trippy, dreamy choice.

If you're into the psychedelic hippie scene, there is a movie that Jimi Hendrix made called Rainbow Bridge. I saw it tripping at the midnight movie theater back when I was 17. Absolutely blew my mind. Years later I found a VHS of Rainbow bridge and watched it sober. Bad move, the movie is not meant to be seen that way.
Another one is "The Trip" by Peter Fonda. It's the mid-1960's and a guy's friend gives him LSD. He has a night to remember.
One more - Psyche-out by Jack Nicholson. Similar to "The Trip". This movie became a cult classic among my friends. Whenever it was on TV we would dose and watch it.
Altered States - I saw this for the first time tripping and a lot of it went over my head. But I recorded the audio onto a cassette tape and was able to re-listen to some of the rants that go on in the movie. Fascinating stuff!
