Need help with MP3 player......

So I got this mp3 player from somewhere online. Problem is the software comes on one of those mini cd roms. I don't have a mini cd disk drive.
Is there any mp3 freeware out there that would work with my player? Or am I just screwed?

Provide more information.
What kind of mp3 player is it (make, model)? What kind of connector did it come with and ports does it have (firewire / usb)?

Have you tried plugging it in yet?
You can maybe try the itunes software and see if it will sync, but not likely.
It might just be like a flat hard drive and you can manipulate it when you plug it in like an external USB drive.

When I plug it in it asks what program I would like to use to open it and the selection is windows media player, or real player. When I choose one it just plays the song that test song the manufacturer put in it.
Does windows media player or real player have a way to upload shit to it?

Stein,
When you plug it in, Open my computer and see if there is a new removable disk drive listed. It sounds like it is being seen as a disk drive and windows wants to auto play the files contained on it.

You don't need a mini cd drive! Just place the mini CD in your normal CD-ROM or DVD drive and it will work! My software for my MP3 player was also on a mini-cd.

No, you're right, I do look dumb. Im used to cd program setups starting up and running on their own with a click here and there for service agreement and shit. Apparently I was too durnk to remember you can run a disk by hitting start-run-Drive D:.
Derrrr I are the dumb.

hey i got a question about that mp3 player actually. i was looking at those little flash memory ones on ebay for like $20-30 and was wondering if the one you got was total garbage or worth what you paid? like does it sound pretty good, volume go up to a respectable level or not, did it break yet or anything look like it's gonna break fairly soon? i might get one and don't mind throwing it away after 6 months or so for that price but i want it to last at least 6 months ya know. thanks

so far it works fucking great, volume decent, I just hate the ear plugs...fuckers are too big and uncomfortable...you can plug any earphones you want in but the ones that came with it suck.
Don't get me wrong they sound good but it seems they designed the ear bits for mongoloids.
