What does his quote have to do with his being dead? I know of nowhere that Einstein even HINTED that he, or anyone else, would live forever

I think he is quite dead. I've seen his brain a few times in the jar they put it in after he died. Unless it's still living in that formaldehyde...
Now, where in the quote did you get the idea that he was saying time doesn't exist?

No, but unfortunately I see your obtuseness quite often when you try to discuss many physics-related subjects
Quotes are so easy to take out of context, aren't they?
What Einstein was talking about is the apparent difference we humans apply to "past", "present", and "future". As I pointed out in ss7's thread, the laws of physics work just as well in reverse as they do "forwards". To us, the "future" is a vague and ill-defined set of possibilities that hasn't "happened" yet...while the "past" is always a WELL defined set of events that "definitely happened" over any other possibility. This distinction may, as Einstein's quote stated, be an illusion created by human consciousness. In physics, there is no real distinction between "past" and "future". Only a logically-sound sequence of events which COULD happen in either direction, given the chance.

Despite his brilliance he was a flawed human being (even in physics). As physics has yet to flow backwards, I, Me, Swami, make a clear distinction between what has happened and what will happen.
Try this: put two broken pieces of matching glass next to each other and note how they do NOT bond back together.
Simply put: is unobserved theoretical reversal THE SAME THING that you observe daily, or is it totally DISTINCT?

Ahh well now you're getting into muddy water 
I speak only of what Einstein was talking about, not whether he was right or wrong. Your original post had very little content to it, but appears to have something to do with his being dead despite past, present, and future being an illusion. Just because past/present/future are human illusions, does not mean physics will not naturally progress in one direction. Please note that I did not say things DO happen in reverse, only that the known laws of physics do not prohibit such a direction.
There is something I left out of my explanation, and that something is Entropy. Because entropy increases, on average, we see a GREAT disparity between "forward" and "backward" in time.

Far too simplified of an example. Something caused the pieces to break apart in the first place, and so if they have ANY hope of recombining, something must CAUSE them to do so. Simply placing the two pieces together will result in about the same thing as leaving a glass to sit on a table: nothing.

I think it is funny that he tried for all he was worth to put down quantum theory which was derived from the influence of relativity. A friend of mine who is a physics instructor at a University tells me that Einstein's attitude towards quantum theory was well placed. He believes that is will give way soon to a better explanation due to holes in it. Many believe that Einstein's instincts about quantum theory were correct.

I have read a lot of books and articles on Einstein, and I wonder what he had going on. It was like he had some source of insight that went beyond just being creative...like God was whispering in his ear. During Quantum theory's big heyday it was popular to see Einstein as antiquated, but it seems that his vision went farther than that. He transcended himself and all of humanity.

I just hit quick reply,
My brother now has a book I bought and read called Anti-Gravity and the World Grid. I don't know who by without having it. Anyway, A lot of neat stuff is discussed in it and I mean NEAT, from ex government employees all kinds of cool shit is in it.
In one section, the Philidelphia experiment was covered in depth with interviews done with guys who were involved. That, is some fucked up reading. The book said Einstien did crack the codes for time travel before he died and was working with our government on the experiment.
If you are really interested in this stuff, you may want to check out that book title and give it a read. Very compelling and eye openning.

from my own intepretation of his life, I would definitely agree that Einstein had a 'divine influence'.
He was not just amazing at developing physics theories, but he was also very compassionate, was a well-spoken pacifist, seemed very spiritual, and overall looked out for humanity as a whole while also seeking to "hear God's thoughts"
