No, they are not. Buddhism is closer to agnostic.
Wrong.
Traditional buddhism affirms the existence of both gods and demons and multiple planes of existence. But none of the gods have the oxymoronic combination of properties proscribed by the monotheistic religions. Traditional buddhism is polytheistic rather than atheistic or agnostic.

Would humanity take note to one another's existence in a moral and respectful preservation if everyone conclusively found out that there is no God and no thereafter? Would the feeling that, "We are alone". Settle in for the better?

Good question. I really wonder.
-------------------- Welcome evermore to gods and men is the self-helping man. For him all doors are flung wide: him all tongues greet, all honors crown, all eyes follow with desire. Our love goes out to him and embraces him, because he did not need it. ~ R.W. Emerson, "Self-Reliance"

I feel there will always be some 'nut' talking to 'God' interpreting his 'words' and instructing the masses. Or aliens for that matter. Couple that with a dominating military force and/or effective indoctrination and the Truth of that^ realization will never matter. Fuckers want fairy tales...?? You got em.
It has to do with the very structure of the brain and its subjective phenomena. If we all realized that... Perhaps we could all jump on board.
But, that's Armageddon for the current paradigm.
Perhaps its in the works...??
