The mayans had lots of apocalypses most of them where fairly outlandish. I'm pretty sure that in one of them everyone was sat on by giants.

I have a friend who's convinced that aliens are going to make contact in 2012. He's all hyped up about that calender crop circlle.

Awareness and wellbeing are pretty contagious. I know some really down to earth people who changed my perspective by just being friends with me. Since then, the circle of friends had grown pretty big...but its people from all walks of life. We did not meet at a hippy gathering, or a rave, or a PETA meeting. Some people used to be down on themselves, and others. I think its easy for people to change thier outlook on things when subjected to an enviroment that suggests that they should. With more people waking up to "life" I think more people will follow at rapid speeds.

Hell, the advertisers are catching on already. It almost sickens me, but hey...whatever.

What really really amazes me is people who dont care. I dunno. People so obsessed with fashion and day to day activities that they dont care about the economy, or polotics, or religion, or the future in 10 years, 50 years, 500 years. All that is important is whats happening now. I know quite a few people like this, and I assumed them shallow. Unable to think outside of the box, but they sure as hell kept up in the conversation, only to say that they dont care or none of it matters.

Is that the answer? Spiritual or not, I think everyone should have as much fun as possible while on this planet. That may be questioning reality for some, or shopping for others...but when it starts ruining this little thing we have called earth...what do we do? Wait for 2012 for someone else to fix it all?

Considering that babies are tripping, and then that goes away and is forgotten as they grow up, only to remember when they die or trip I think that a shift in conciouness is possible. Perhaps the gravitational pull will cause our brains to start producing 5 Me0-DMT again. Or maybe the shift in conciousness isn't us getting high, just the majority of people realizing how fucked up we've gotten, and that we need to do something to clean up the planet and ourselves solife on earth keeps on going. I doubt the world is going to end until the sun blows up, unless of course bush decides to start a nuclear war.

I liked that dark star! I hoping everyone who has their own thoughts and opinions on the hoopla around 2012 would offer them up. I was hoping some commonalities would come out that would give the topic some balance and middle ground.

Interesting what you said about the DMT. Many are having spontaneous experiences that resemble the effects without taking it- I'm one of them, soooo there may be something to what you are saying. You think it's some sort of gravity pull behind it? What are your thoughts on being your own point of gravity? Anyones for that matter? Why not go for the DNA changes that start the natural release of it?

For anyone who is in the midst of or past integrating the darker side and aspects of the larger soul self and has overcome the fear of the harvesting and being left behind propaganda, what would you tell people like Mandelbrot who are being faced with it now? He's is not the only one who has this in front of him here.

Can you offer up anything to help ease the transition and fears? I did what I think I could in posts they caught else where to other people related to other things.

I greatly appreciate everything everyone has been contributing to this topic!

I know others out their must have views on it to share and you know, many would love to hear them.

I'm not sure whether gravity is causing it or not,the mayan prophesies are based on star alignment and gravitational pull though, which is where I got that idea. Your idea about DNA seems extremely likely too, DNA is constantly changing, constantly mutating.  What happens during your DMT-like experiences?, When do they usually come about?  I saw this show on aliens and UFO's and they mentioned DMT asa possible cause for people seeing things, especially one instance where some farmers saw small beings flying around (kind of like the machine elves i guess). I have mixed emotions about that theory though, because as I mentioned in another thread, if these chemicals got released, people would most likely think they were dying or going insane, especially with DMT. I've never done  n,nDMT, but I have smoked 5-Me0-DMT, and I can't barely move on that shit, and I don't see the machine elves, for me it's like all existance is rapidly exploding into oblivion, me included. One time I smoked it while tripping on shrooms, and a little DPT, I  couldn't even see/focus, cause everything was multiplying, exploding and shifting into wild kalidoscopes. Do you have similar experiences. Also on my last trip 2 days agao, I took an eighth of shrooms and had a full bloen religious experience, death, rebirth and all, I can face to face with god which was a mass conciousness made up of every living thing. It was not omnipotent, and in fact seemed to be quite freaked out (as was I :smile: ) and had no idea what it was and where it came from. I'd heard the tripping baby theory before and had expereinced it before but forgot. This time I remembered, and relived memories from when I was an infant, and also past lives.  It was a real Alice in Wonderland style trip too. At times I would be talking to many different people when there was no one there, at other times I thought I was a baby (yet knowing I was just tripping face, this was not the reliving experience.) Anyway, to get to the point, the death part was very much like a DMT/5-Me0-DMT trip even though I didn't smoke any this time, and it was also very similar to high dose LSD trips I've had. I'm not sure if my DMT smoking had anything to do with it, but it seems the more I trip, the farther out I get, and the less I need to really get off. Anyway, sorry this is so long, I just wanted to get your impression on it, peace.

I've steered away from mind altering drugs all of my life. The only way I know i have similiar experiences to those on DMT is when I describe mine to friends who take it and they say thats what being on DMT is like.

I get epiphanies where I am shown things that are so mind blowing and simple when there, yet when I settle back into "normal for me" consciousness I can't retain the information other then a mild essense of it. Its stuff i couldn't even put into words if I had a grasp on it once it was over. Of course there are the states of bliss where you are humbled into complet awe and tears of joy just stream down your face.

I can trip out pretty easily without adding chemicals. There are times, it's hard to come down and times you can think you are going crazy. I can even work up enough energy to get a serious buzz that has me in non stop giggles and laughter. I call it a light buzz.

I've lost interest in all of that lately as the thrill and newness is gone, guess i take it for granted and realized, i am here to live in this world. I have to admit, I enjoy the places I can visit much better. I prefer lucid dream time to waking life too. I love freedom.

I read what you wrote in the judgment victim post. I have friends who say, their DMT journeys have helped them to gain new perspectives that have changed their lives as well. Sometimes, they take it when in a rut of negativity to pull them out. I use to get concerned that it would become a crutch for them and they would never learn how to pull themselves out of a rut. Then I started reasoning, if it gets them out then, it can't be all bad.

I wish I could teach people how to bring on those states without ingesting chemicals.

The blissed out ones require working up such a state of love and apprecition to the point of not being able to handle it that you implode!

The trippy ephinany type require hyper tuning out, revving up your energy and hyper tuning in with intention of sorts to see or go and know, what and where you want.

I will post a link to a site with some DNA activation CDs that will offer up a hardy light buzz and then some. You can listen to samples at the site. try out shamballah. Its intense. hahaha yeah they are quite interesting. It's awesome that you don't have to do drugs to trip, that's a rare and amazing gift.  Yeah it's amazing how psychedelics can pull you out of a rut. I like your reasoning, a lot of people that don't do drugs would continue to think that psyches are a  crutch even if they do help a person change. The hard drugs I used were definately a crutch though. Not at first, but over time they got like that, especially opiates. It gets tot the point where all you  care about is the fix, and getting rid of the issues that caused the problem in the first place doesn't matter anymore, you just sit back not caring while your life falls apart. The cool thing about psyches for me is that they help me fix the issues and not just forget they exist. Those CDs sound really interesting, i've tried meditation, astral projection and lucid dreaming, but they've never really worked too well for me.  I've gotten lucid by accident a couple of times but it faded away fast. I would like to work more with all 3 of those, I will definately check those CDs out, thanks :smile:

To me 2012 is like a fulcrum of sorts.

This was said of the resurrection of Christ, the year 999, the year 1000, the year 1001 (which is actually the beginning of the new millennium, not 1000, since the year 0 didn't exist), the year 1999, the year 2000, the year 2001 (which is actually the beginning of the new millennium, not 2000, since the year 0 didn't exist), the year 2012, and I imagine it will be said of the year 2999, 3000, 3001, and an assortment other years too.

What makes 2012 a 'fulcrum' and all the rest not?

The Mayan calendar does not really "end" in 2012, but rather, all the cycles turn over and start again, vibrating to a new era.

The Earth has precessed ~200,000 times (5,000,000,000 / 26,000) since its creation.

Each and every one of those precession cycles caused a solar conjuction with the intersection of the ecliptic and the galactic plane.

Why is this one so special? :dumblol:

I've never heard an explanation as to why McKenna's math is persuasive.

McKenns'a math is not only unpersuasive on its own, it's even more unpersuasive in light of the fact that he fucked it all up:

Here are a few examples:

"By the final discussion he [McKenna] seemed to have fully grasped the nature of the problem, and had admitted that the theory appeared to have "no basis in rational thought."

... which is funny, because you are referring to the Watkins debunking of the timewave, which has already been proven wrong by mathematician John Sheliak. It seems that the errors only lead to a slightly different timewave.

Terence brought back the timewave from a trip in order to show that psychedelic insights can be applied to the real world. The 2012 prediction is concrete enough to prove or disprove that assertion. It's an experiment set up by Terence; you're not supposed to believe in the outcome of experiments beforehand. It wouldn't matter, anyway.

Well, in order to understand that you would have to be observing from outside our solar system. Not only is the Earth and our entire solar ring finishing the end of a ~26,000 year cycle, but also too is the solar systems connected to ours finishing the end of another large cycle, the galaxy finishing the end of an much, much larger cycle, and the entire universe finishing a cycle that takes billions of years. This is the completion of thousands of other cycles, bigger and smaller, all over the universe, all at once.

You see in the Creational Universes, planets revolve around stars just as electrons revolve around protons. As above, so below they say. But not only do the solar systems or "cells" revolve around each other but so do stars revolve around a common point as do galaxies.. all these things are completing the end of their dance within a dance within a dance within a dance. These are the last steps leading up to 2012. This is not some local phenomena, that will effect Earth only. Oh no.. this is the entire Universe. Everyone in this universe will be affected, not just us ignorant and arrogant humans on Earth thinking we know everything.
