The polarity of the Earth's magnetic field changes once every 200,000 years on average. The current cycle has caused the field to weaken about 10% in the last 150 years. This rate is unlikely to change which means that nobody alive today other than scientists and pigeons will even notice.

This has nothing to do with 2012, though I expect that when Hollywood gets a hold of this information, the next batch of End of the World films will come out; then the 2012 nuts will misinterpret Hollywood hyperbole as reality, and say "I told you so!".

who knows to what degree the human mind/consciousness is in relation to it's planet's energy field?

It's a magnetic field, not an 'energy field', and the lack of magnetic field experienced by the astronauts that went to the moon didn't seem to bother them at all. :shrug:

And your link? Many words, zero evidence, but they do have lots of books, tapes, and videos for sale.

I'm in the wrong business...
