The forum's name has been changed.....Well I will say this, this changes nothing. If a spore vendor, which we all know this forum is for since there arent many other kinds in this counter culture, provides us with wonderful service the will recieve praise; If one of them does poorly, they will get flamed like the new skinny white boy in prison he is. Just wanted to add that so that everyone doesnt get to 'warm and cozy.' People DO have the right to know if a vendor provides poor service. Thats all!

l_sore.. Actually we're thinking about adopting vendor inquiry system here @ shroomery. Seems there a lot of confusion and impatience surrounding the whole spore ordering thing. A lot of time the confusion and impatience needlessly disrupt things in the vendor forum as people quickly take sides and make assumptions. In fairness to everyone, we're thinking that the mods of the Vendor forum could serve as a liason to resolve order discrepancies/snafus/etc.
The overall idea behind it is to open some easy and direct lines of communications for handling problems. This would keep the chaos from errupting so often, but more importantly help the consumer get their goods or at least know what the deal is.
Anyway, it's really still in the idea stage and everyone's input is encouraged. Look for an announcement in the Suggestion Forum soon.

I_Sore, it was changed because Spore Vendor was too specific, we also want individuals who sell things to do it in this forum....

Then I would seriously consider taking the forum off. That way it wouldnt be over run with complaints, propaganda, or flowery BS.

Also I see no problem with complaints. If amazon.com was to make a mistake I would let it be known. Now granted they are not a part of a small community so one out of 2000 orders could F up and,...no big deal the them business wise. Much smaller group here, so it is easy for someone to get a bad rep,..... tough...... There are some in the community who use temporary, very temporary addresses, when ordering spores. There are some that would only want their 'addresses' known for a very short time. So the offer of 'making it good' sux shit and would not apply so,....order and money lost. Some people will be angered. Thats human nature.

l_sore.. if people use very temporary addresses, then they should expect some probs and not blame it entirely on the vendor if they don't get their order. I agree that it is human nature to get angry/emotional and to lash out without even first considering all the facts. How many times do you think a complaint has been posted where the:
- vendor never got the order?
- customers check bounced?
- complaint was completely ficticious?
- customer didn't supply a shipping address?
If there were a moderated vendor complaint forum, hopefully it would mask off this sort of noise and only let through the true/deserved complaints.

ahh to hell with it....you are right, protection of secrecy is a mute point, people should voice but only silently, and vendors are the 'shroom messiahs' and should be protected from people who would sully their 'sacred' names. I mean who the hell cares if 5-9 out of 10 posts about a vendor is a bad one, they are still doing a 'service' to the community. I mean shit, if a person only orders a 30-50 dollar order what right do they have to blacken a persons name through out the community? I say none, these are the special folks we are talking about here. How dare someone warn others that they might get fucked because a MUSHROOM SPORE vendor might be to busy to get an order or 20 right. I mean these guys are just cool ass hippies right! Where the hell do we get off bitching at them for claiming to be business men? Shouldnt we just expect them to be cool ass hippies?

No, noone's saying that at all. Like I said, the main purpose is to ensure that the customer gets what they ordered or their money back or whatever. I'm sure that's more important to most people. There can't be much satisfaction publicly espousing a grievance. Most people order spores because they want them and not to critic someone's business practices.
I think it's cool that you let everyone know what went down. I don't, however, see any need for stereo-typing. If you keep it short, factual and dispassionate it'll be better for all involved. Like pulling off a band-aid quickly. That's just my opinion. File it or flush it, it's up to you. ;)

matters not, dont really care anymore. I have seen, hell Ive even posted, very calm......very classy posts about a misplaced order. And those posts got the ever livin hell flamed out of them. I really dont give a shit anymore. I have money, losin' thirty bucks wasnt that big of a deal for me. I didnt start this 3 week crusade because of my loss. I did it because I saw a member post a complaint about ryche and about 8 members of the community completely flamed him. Not cool. So I set out to make it a point that the vendors werent untouchable. It failed no one cares. Hell I dont care anymore. I got spores from another place, I think that kid eventually got some from Ryche. Do I think Ryche complaints have become more common?.....yes. Do I think its a sign of a poor business, or just a lot of bad luck?........I dont know. If the shroomery is going to keep this forum open then civil complaints or criticism should be accepted. Not only accpted but protected by the shroomery mods. Even criticism about Ryche. If a vendor doesnt respond to an email within a few days, well I think the community should be allowed to bring it here. My opinion doesnt count, so whatever take all this how you want. If I see a civil complaint about a vendor and s/he gets flamed, Im going to throw some logic into the fray.

i agree with I_SORE, if somebody asks about a vender, and you have a negative comment about their service, or some aspect of the venders business, you are discouraged from voicing that opinion a second time, but if you have a good comment , you can repeat it over and over. don't you think when somebody asks a question they should hear both sides of the story? isn't this forum supposed to be for the consumer and the vender alike? or is it truely a 'vender' forum, as in it's just a place for venders to advertise their wares. spore venders are not the high priests of mycology, without the consumer, there would be no need for the vender, i've heard it repeated over and over how they don't make alot of money, well maybe the people who order the spores don't make alot of money either. as for people having temporary addresses, well if they ask if a vender has fast delivery, and they are only allowed to hear how other people got their orders in 7 days, and not allowed to her from the people who waited for 4 weeks, they might order from that vender thinking that they'll get their order in plenty of time. alot of people who grow, go to school, and when school gets out they have to go, their address changes. that's not their fault, they are the people who $30 or $40 is alot of money to. there's things that the vender wants from the customer, money, the right address, the ability to read the address. the customers want good viable spores, and delivery in a reasonable time frame. since the vender never says how long delivery will take, it's important that the customer hear both sides of the delivery spectrum.

jim.. I think you're confusing the issue. It's one thing to offer criticism and another to vent anger w/ slanderous comments. It's offensive to have someone piss on your leg and tell you that it's raining.

maybe there could be something like they have on e-bay where you get feed back on both the vender and the buyer, the buyer's not happy because it took to long, and by the same token the vender could answer with whatever, the guy was a pain in the ass, couldn't read his handwritting, sent the wrong amount, whatever. but just for the people involved in the transaction, no outside interferance. there has to be a middle ground that's fair to both sides. how to get to that middle ground will take the wisdom of soloman.

Welcome to go through and read my posts and see if I ever said anything 'slanderous' you wont find anything. The only strife I had is with a member (of the non-vendor variety.) We took that conflict to PM's, and now we talk through PM's on a regular basis. Not everyone that bitches is 19 yr old child full of hate and testosterone. There are some out there who are perfect customers completely without fault, and something, god knows what, and that order never came through. And you know what not all of them are lying and trying to rip vendors off by getting more spores. Some know how much 30 or 40 dollars is worth to them. They know these vendors arent rich men, and have enough desency not to steal what could mean gass money or more groceries to another person. I understand some folks are hostile, but if you are going to have this forum then people are going to see more than a vendors side of the story.
'Our service is fast and reliable'
'we ship within 2 to 4 days of recieving an order'
'in the years we've been doing this only a handful of orders have been lost'
Maybe a vendor tripped or smoked his brains out for a week and just didnt get to it.
Maybe a vendor was bombarded with orders and a few slipped through the cracks.
.......But those moments of imperfection should be reported. And this could have been any vendor, Im not pointing fingers. Maybe by reading some of these complaints it will get a vendors ass in gear when they are slumping. Not just 'making it right' but getting it right the first time.
........Why the hell do I even write these infernal posts? Im beginning to see how little my voice carries in the sea of members that is the shroomery. Anyhow.....

Hey I_sore, do you have any idea how many returned orders I get?
I cut out your handwriting or typed print of your address you give and tape it on the box.
Your order goes to where YOU write down it goes to. Once I drop it in the mail box its out of my hands. If your postal man does not forward it to you new addy that is not my fault. Usually they come back to me eventually. Some do get lost in the mail system though. If you email me about it i'll let you know. Which brings up another point, do you have any idea how many emails bounce back to me? Try PM me here if your emails get unanswered because I answer them all.
Your little vedetta againts me I can assure you is not my fault. It would not surprise me at all if your order is one of the returned ones here.
Which I will soon be opening them all and doing a free give away hear for those spores since ppl have not claimed them. Then you are SOL from that point.

I posted it in another thread. NOT A VENDETTA. But I do want the right to post a complaint. I dont want to be hammered by everyone cause I complained about a certain vendor. I will tell you this though chief, I ordered on the 16th of april, I moved on the 14th of May. I started this because another member had a complaint, and he was bombarded with hateful comments, because he complained about a vendor. NOT COOL. That is what this forum is for.
