Many of you are wondering what happened to dimitri, well all I know is that his partner now wants me to remove the website and that as of today Dr Bluethumbs is closed..

I asked him to tell us whats going on, but I think he's not going to..

So what I do know is that dimitri was put in a county jail for something, I have no idea what its for or if he's still there... I only heard rumours from a few of you and finally got it confirmed only a few days ago.

I have no idea what the future is for dimitri and his customers that have outstanding orders. I have no idea how to contact dimitri.....

If I find out anything more, or if I can answer any questions I will, but please realize I know little more than most people do about this whole mess.

Well, like we saw with 3Mshroom, this stuff just can't be helped. Lets just hope for the best! I recently won a syringe from him which I never received, no big deal at all, my microscope broke anyways.

i'm sorry that bluethumbs got thrown in jail (for outstanding possesion warrants). honestly, how stupid can you be to open a legitimate business venture that borders on illegal substances when you have warrants out for you? the point is there is NO excuse to let customers keep sending money to your defunct businees. those customers will not get their products nor their money back

how much time would it have taken for Dr. Bluethumbs Site (aka Mike) to post a message saying the business was closing temporarily or permanently when all the speculation started? NOT HARD AT ALL. it would have saved alot of heart ache and possibly face if they decide to return to business.

and the worst thing about it - his advertising may have been removed from the shroomery and Thor letting the community know that "Mike" updated him on the situation. but the Dr. Bluthumbs site is STILL active and you can still place orders w/ them. what's going to stop someone who doesn't frequent any of the OMC sites to order from him. at least Sporechicks has a disclaimer stating the business is closed (be it voluntary or forced). Dr. Bluethumbs is basically going to pull a STP at this pt - reaping the business of uninformed newbies.

UPDATE: IT LOOKS LIKE THE SITE IS CLOSED DOWN ON THE NET.

I, like many, am out cash and pissed. I'm sorry to hear that he's in (or has been in jail), but I've been having issues with his company far longer than the past weekend.

I'm out a nice lump of cash too, but shouldn't we all wait until he gets out to find out if he is going to make good. I think we should all just chill. I do think there should be something on the site though. Don't let people continue to order.

Even though anything sold through or purchased from Dr.Blues sight is for research only and of course not illegal, should his customers/past customers be worried. Is he in jail for his business or just other old issues. Was his computer and business records seized. Is he the kind of guy to try to minimize his issues by saying 'hey boys I got this customer list...." Im sorry if this post seems uncaring, because I do care that he's in jail and feel badly for he and family. Personally, even though Im not out any money, I would worry more about johnny law coming to visit than being out 50 or 100 bucks. Bottom line, does any of his past/present customers have anything to worry about besides being out of some cash/product?

Hi all, ive been reading these forums for the last few weeks and sadly decided to order from DrBluethumbs. I spent 30 dollars on the shroom kit or whatevter, the one with the bags since ive never done this before and thought this would be the easiest way. DrBluethumbs should have put up a warning saying hes on "hiatus" and not to order right now. I payed via paypal, do you folks think ill either recieve my product or get a refund?? I just ordered not even a week ago.

P.S. Seems like a shady and immoral deal so far. Ill keep you guys updated, i just emaild customerservice@drbluethumbs.com, anyone know any other email adresses this guy uses? Thx alot

As for the whole Ganjashroom thing.. I think legal action should be taken against dimitri if somethign is not settled very soon. I htink it's complete BS that he has yet to find aa way to give Ganjashroom the money that Ganjashroom and his daughter were REALLY in need of.

I know for a fact that Dimitri has gotten over $400.00 from donations and Raffle tickets.
He also has 8 syringes of mine that were suppost to go to people that won the Raffle......plus other prizes that people sent in to him.
Why his wife didn't step up to the plate and send the money to Ganja is beyond me.....she was emailing Ganja back and forth.....then suddenly stopped.
I'd never wish bad things on anyones family.....but karma has a way of kicking in!!!

As far as Dimitri going to jail.....I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

What I find interesting is that DrBlueThumbs.com has still been spamming the inappropriate alt.drugs.* and rec.drugs.* newsgroups less than a week ago. I haven't checked the charter, but I even doubt that alt.drugs.mushrooms allows commercial advertisements. Advertising in the .chemistry, .pot, .salvia, etc newsgroups are obviously offtopic when he's hucking his wares.

Let me ask you directly, how is dimitri's going to jail OUR responsibilty??

We removed his banners, removed his website, and notified the community. That is our responsibility, we can't be responsible for all our vendors business future, if they close or shut down we can't have done anything to change that...

3mshroom went out of business because of legal problems, would we have been responsible of that too??

Hey guys, sorry to see everyone is having so much trouble.
Anyhow, I talked to Dimitiri a while back about some marketing strategies we planned to follow through with on our sites, so we've talked before and all.
The point is, I live about 40 minutes away from Hinkley, where his business was located. I'm guessing the courthouse is in Hinkley, and if he's in jail, he'd be in the county jail.
I would be willing to find out when I can go visit him, and go up there this weekend and see him. I have been reading everyone's posts and obvioulsly many of you are having trouble, so I wouldn't mind doing this.
If anyone would like me to follow up with this, just let me know what MAJOR issues need to be settled, and I'll talk to him in person this weekend and figure things out.

Although I am on these boards daily... and have been for two years or so, I very rarely post, but this will be one of those few times...

I read alot of crap that dimitri flings, and people fling at him. I dont support him, but I dont put him down as a vendor either, however my feelings on the subject are this:

Just like when a 15 year old kid gets busted for growing, and its taken out on his parents. Morally as a 15 year old, you should not be GROWING because of the possible consequences.

In this case, Dimitri obviously knew about his warrants, but he never thought of the consequences of them going after him becasue of the warrants. He has put not only his family at risk, but most definatly the OMC, and most definately his customers. It does disturbs me that someone would put so much at risk to make a quick buck, and from what I have heard, poorly make that buck at that.

It is people like this that I feel my respect slip for. There is a common sense, and when you have outstanding warrants for drug related reasons, you do not run a shady operation that is borderline legal. And even more so when it could involve your family.

as much as people had problems with him i think he had a very nice inventory. he had everything you need to start. even if he had some problems i dont think its cool for him to be in jail. i hope he gets out he kept the prices down around here and i think his absence may affect the shrooming community...but that is just my opinion.

ok,im gonna write this one time-

so everyone please read

1-dimitri is in jail,i have talked to the jailer myself

2-everyone seems to be against dimitri,and i did not want this to happen-i am sure that when dimitri gets out,he will fix everything(orders,raffle,cash ect.)

3-thor and the other admins are not at fault in any way-why should they be?as far as the raffle having a sticky on it,no fucking big deal-they wasnt even affialiated with the raffle,why should they promote it?

4-the fact is,SHIT HAPPENS-he is in jail,we cant fix that,and he cant get orders shipped from jail,now can he?why trash him,at least wait until he returns and has time to fix things,then if he doesnt,sure trash him-sure i didnt get the raffle cash,but my friends still came through-

give him some time at leats,im sure all will be good-he cant control going to jail,and cant run a buisness from jail-he isnt a MOB BOSS

and as far as his wife goes,she works a job,and has 2 kids(babies i might add)and thats a hand full-i know because i am a single dad-im sure she wouldnt know where to start with his buisness and orders if she wanted to-

and as far as mike(a.k.a. Dr. Bluthumbs Site) he could have posted this,he told me not to at dimitri's request-but it was his place to-but he cant fix the orders,im sure they have never even met(dimitri and mike)and that was an internet relationship,not an actual phiscal buisness relationship-im sure he dont know dimitri's buisness,he is only the webmaster-im sure he fixes the site how dimitri wants it,and thats about all he does,they are probably not even in the same town

im not defending dimitri-but it seems as soon as the man is down,all his friends and custermers turn on him and throw him to the dogs-in fact,he did help me with the raffle and did send me 75.00

as far as why he didnt send the cash or his wife-i was told the took all his money,and wont release it yet-

i talked with his wife about the raffle-she didnt even know a raffle existed-

im not defending dimitri-at all-but you guys are like a pack of dogs-

i think the concern is more that dimitri should have taken the necessay precautions before getting into business in the OMC (ie: taking care of warrants BEFORE venturing into business [especially a business of this sort]). this wreckless behavior put many people at risk in the OMC.

i think other concerns came up that many of the missing orders/hoodies/raffle $/etc/etc/etc goes all the way back to March. If dimitri was in jail that long, he should have informed people much sooner (and he also shouldnt have tried to deceive people by saying he had a "family emergency"). i personally question this whole fiasco myself. there's too many things that "just don't add up". perhaps if everybody woulda listened to the folks at FF almost a year ago concerning dimitri there would be a lot less people out there $, and less hardship as a result of this whole thing...

Ok, if a payment is made via Paypal, the seller has to sign for or accept the funds. So why the fuck would dimitri accept these funds if he knew that the shit wasnt going to get sent out? Actually if paypal was the funding source, you can set it up to automatically accept payments. I am going to wait about 1-2 weeks. hopefully he is out by then and either refunding or fullfilling orders. Don't want to have to deal with paypal, but for some of us having over $150 just sitting in a paypal account isn't acceptable. $ is real short now, and because he got busted, I and everyone else has to suffer. hopefully he is out soon and taking care of his customers =)

This time around I guess he wanted to get enough to warrant a printing because if you know anything about the printing industry it is expensive to only do a few shirts/hoodies..

thor: i am a silkscreener. my shop makes/prints custom T-Shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and any other garment made of cotton.

we have no minimum order. we could have made those EXACT SAME hoodies (with no minimum order) for $9-$10 each.

I'm out 60 bucks on this deal too. Has anybody tried using the complaint feature in PayPal for those that used PayPal? This way you have a chance of getting a refund through them, particularly if enough people complain about this.

I have filed a complaint with PayPal on my purchase stating that I never received my goods and never got a reply from the vendor and that the rumor is that he's in jail.

They say "give us 30 days, and we don't guarantee we can recover your funds"

So, we'll see... At least maybe they can find out the truth.

Do you think paypal is going to help you get your money if they think you gave it to somebody who was involved with selling "gray area products" as they might assume because you indicated he was busted? That was a foolish thing to do trip. I have a lot of expirence with paypal, and grey market items. If they even suspect that the item can be used for illegal things they will put a 180 day hold on the money. They will also hold bluethumbs account. First of all, it wasn't stupid. PayPal doen't care about "gray area" marketing. All they care about is their integrity and the integrity of their associated vendors that they supply their shopping cart software to, as well as the satisfaction of buyers who pay the vendors through their service. They have an obligation to try to settle disputes between the vendors that use their service/software and the customers.

PayPal doesn't care `what` a vendor sells, just that he does so honestly and fairly without ripping people off through the use of their service!

It will be interesting to see what they find out about this whole situation.

If PayPal is uable to contact him and there's money in his account, I'll get a refund.
That's all I care. There are more complaints about Dimitri in this forum than any other vendor. If I had read them all before I placed my order, I never would've done so. Anyone else who paid him by credit card or through PayPal has the same chance for recourse as I do and should exercise their right to complain about such poor business practice in an attempt to get their money back.

Anyone who paid him with cash or money order is a fool anyway because of this very situation. There's no way to prove those transactions ever happened and no possible recourse.

I couldn't care less what happens to Dimitri or his lousy business. I just want my money back. I hope everyone gets what they ordered or gets a refund, but it's really no concern of mine.

Don't be pissed off at me because you got ripped off by Dimitri, so did everone else including me. I'm not chancing losing my opportunity for recourse just to be nice to Dimitri or anyone else.

Man you are so wrong. I have seen it time and time again. Just a few weeks ago they cracked down on all satelite hacking equipment. Even though it is not illegal to own it, if they suspect it is being used to hack a satelite they will not allow a refund, and will put a hold on the venders account. I once bought a card loader that I never received. When I filed a complaint they said that that type of item was not covered by their buyer protection program, because it was clear after looking at the site that it would probaly be used for something illegal. Then this vender that ripped me off had the balls to get mad at me, because they closed his account, and put a 180 day hold on his money. Look at little shop of spores for another example. The spores are legal to sell, but because they can be used to grow something illegal they put a hold on there account. Paypal has the authority to do damn near whatever they want, because in the contract you agree to they put that can put a hold on the money for any reason.

If he is in jail, (which I doubt he is anymore since he could have posted bail) all he has to do is POST ONE DAMN MESSAGE in this forum and let us know what the fuck is going on. Those of you that have money tied up with D have a right to be upset. It was very foolish of him to go into business knowing that the law was after him for previous/other drug related offenses, then selling questionable products...

yeah I lost like 160$ from Dimitri, I doubt I'll ever get it back!
When I sent a couple of e-mails about my order, I was told that something happened with the order from blu-cusomer support(5 weeks from the original order). Then I was told to wait little longer ... and never recieved the stuff. I do feel like I was misinformed about the situation

A dude gets busted & dependant on circumstance -- there is no bail, or even if there was, it might be high & he can't make it. Moreover, he is in the slammer w/no phone or internet. So, he can't even explain wazzzuuupppp.

He has a wife & child. You cannot expect them to handle his shit for him. Whatever funds they have -- they are using to eat & get by with. Sadly, some of those funds might be yours, from what you ordered & didnt get.

But, think about it. These guys (vendors) stick there ass on the line -- to provide what we all need or want. If it wasnt for them, whatcha gonna do? Stand on a street corner -- going Pssst -- got any spores (?) to strangers.......LOL

Not long ago a Raccoon had a fair size order turn to thermal toast in his outside mailbox on a very hot day. He never snivveled to the vendor. You win some & lose some. The object is to just keep trying.

D didnt want to go to jail (Do any of us?). He wanted to fill the orders(i'm sure). If he were able? I'm sure he would. He didnt ripe you off. Circumstance beyond his control did.

If he is stand/up? He will try to make things right -- when & if he can. If not? Give it a rest. Why waste your time (you only have so much). Use it in a constructive way (farm them shrooms). OKay, my 2 cents turned into a ramble. Sorry.

Well I spoke on the phone today with dimitri's partner Mike, and he said that he's being screwed as well financially.

Listen, from what I gather dimitri is in a whole heap of trouble with going to jail for a while... I think his last concern is his customers, and his first concern is his own ass.

This is really looking worse every day, unless Mike his webmaster is lying, which he has absolutely no reason to... then dimitri will probably be in jail for some serious amount of time and all his customers who have outstanding orders are screwed.

The whole mess really stinks.

I think its sad that you guys have all given up on Dimitri already. If you consider the situation, a person facing lengthy jail time would understandably have bigger concerns than refunding orders/funds sent to them - im sure those of you who have the patience will have the situation resolved in time.

First the sporechix, now dimitri...there must be a lot of pissed off and ripped off shroomerites around!

Thats why I always suggest sticking with an established vendor who has been in business at least 3 years and has shown a genuine interest in mycology rather than people who obviously are just in it for a quick buck. They always seem to rip you off in the end!

All I can say is, it's probably a good idea to always order small amounts of items, I mean, there's rarely a time you need to spend more then $30 at a growing supplies/spore vendor store.

Ok, guess anyone who ordered from the Dr is a bit paranoid. But you know the more I think about it the less I am. I have no doubt that they are looking into everything Dr had going, sure there is alot more then what we have heard as I have seen his posts on other sites ...with pictures no less. We are the victims here, we were ripped off from a so called legit business. This is a small community, how many hundreds of more that don't read these boards are still waiting for orders and have no clue to what is going on.

Is it legal to sell spores but not to buy them???? As far as I am concerned anyone who has ordered spores or such has not broken any law and would hope any law would need alot more to go on than that. If I buy a gun and bullets to go with it will they knock on my door once a week check for dead bodies? (ok it has been sort of nice without my mother-in-law...j/k) Guess we just have to wait this one out.

I had an extensive conversation with "Mike Ming" on MSN messenger the other day which i tried to post but i guess they decided it wasnt important enough... basically it just showed him denying that i sent him any payment and refusing to cooperate in any way, he spent very little time trying to help me and definately seemed like something was up. he told me his webpage is shutdown while they train their staff??? and that the people on shroomery can "think whatever they want" about him after i told him that theres a ton of people in my situation and they all think your a crooked bastard, and yes he has been following these posts. my moneys gone for good and so is everyone elses. great

You know dear, medical science has made marvelous advances in dealing with mental illness. It's nothing to be ashamed of. If I can help point you in the right direction for help I certainly will.

I have kept a keen eye on the situation with the Dr as I placed a rather large order with his business nearly two months ago now and have never received the merchandise I paid for. I ordered from this business primarily for his priceing and after reading that his site was hosted by the Shroomery and that the Admin here thought so much of this vendor as to consider partnership for the Candadian devision of DrBluethumbs. I made a bad choice and the possible consequences worry me greatly.

As a result of the risk I have brought onto myself by dealing with this Shroomery vendor I have taken it upon myself to look further into the current and past situation with this individual. I have reliable information that Jimmy Ming aka Dr.Bluethumbs is a career criminal. With previous convictions for theft and fraud along with a variety of drug convictions including at least one similar to those that will result from his arrest in the link above. He has been in and out of prison for years over his entire adult life.

It is hard for me to understand why more information has not been presented by those in charge and from this "Mike" person. Much less the serious questions that have not been asked by those affected her. It was not difficult to obtain the information above. What I am very interested in is what is the nature of the ongoing criminal investigation? Was Jimmy Ming's computer confiscated? Will there be federal charges? Are the federal authorities involved? Questions, questions, and surely someone here knows the answers or can find out. And most of what I see here is nonsensical jibberish and unrelated urination back and forth unrelated to this potentially serious situation from what appear to be addled minds.
