Ways to recieve positive attention, respect and admiration!

Please share what you have learned about this or even look at people who do receive it and make note of how and what you think they are doing. We all can learn "feel good" stuff from this thread if we all contribute to it.

Who are some famous people who fit this bill? That may get some balls rolling.

Here's one that grabbed at me the last time I watch the wizard of Oz. he said to the tin man, a mans worth is not measured by how much he loves, but by how much he is loved by others.

How do we open the doors to recieve love from others? This is funny because ussually it's a low sense of self worth that cuts us off from recieiving it.

Where does a healthy balanced sense of self worth come from? Are we born with one, or just neutral. Do our parents, siblings, teachers etc nurture a healthy one or a poor one in us?

If a child hood environment breed a low sense of self worth, what can one do to overcome it?

I think it starts with giving it to yourself. You have to start saying to yourself I deserve good things and love in this life and I am worthy of receiving and experiening it.

I think you open and get the flow going by giving good things, good feelings and love to others. People see and appreciate those who can put a smile on their face, who can say, I understand how you feel, who can say, would you like help with that?, who notice something and pay compliment to you.

They Princess Diana was most adored for her ability to make people feel speacial. They said she could tune out the world and make them feel as if they were the only thing that mattered at the moment. That is quite an ability.

You are at this party?
A person walks down toward where you are standing. You do not quite know the person, but remember the face from last party you attended. Let us say he says: Hey you are that guy blab la bla, I like you! And walks along, in to the big room and dig some music or what ever...

You?re standing there, A person just said he like you..
If you do not assume anything, just take it for what it is.
The phrase ?I like you?.

If you want it to be positive attention. You could assume he meant it positive

You could ask the person directly what his intentions was of saying that.
Let us again say you do, you follow in to the big room finds him, and he say; ?sure you really are a good speaker, and you are so kind and I wanted you to feel good?  then of to music digging he goes again again :P

You then got the ?knowledge? of his intentions. As he spoke it.

Respect and admiration could be feelings you then associate whit this ?knowledge? gained.

Then again I see the conflict off give and take, not saying there is a conflict, but saying some might see it as..  Whit out seeing it as a conflict..

I could say; for example, the person gave me words, words I could associate whit feelings, but I will not be having them before I give me the association of feeling.

Or the person wanted kind words in return, so he gave only to please him self. By ?knowing? he has given, he could take. Giving me nothing. But the urge to give back.

Or or or, it is so many possibilities I could type on and on like this, but if I had a point and it yet not shine through, well..



Receiving is a gift.
You cannot take what you cannot reach, yet giving you can always get.
It is almost like the ego of my self, receiving through the self.

Receiving love is giving love.  However, when receiving you must take?

it funny how i can talk whitout knowing what im talking about :P
