need someonez help for weighing shrooms

Hello! As U must all know by now, I haven't go a scale!! BUT, I was just wondering, if pipol who got scales could just weigh, lets say.. 1ml of rock hard dried cubensis (Ive got the "fat stem" strain), and compare the results, in order to find a average. Thanx!!!

Well, if you have no scale, its best to judge them fresh, if at all.
Apparently if you grind up your dried shrooms to a fine powder, then approx 1 level teaspoon=approx 1g.
I've never done that, but that would seem about right to me.
I have scales now though, so I'm ok.
Hmm, i just read your post again, and have just realised I am baffled as what the hell your going on about....
1ml of shrooms?
Are you saying you want us to weigh 1g of dried shrooms and aproximate the size of the mass?

So your saying to take 1ml of ground shrooms and weigh them?
I havent got a an acuarte enough measuring cylinder to do that.
I think what would be better would be to weigh 10ml of ground shrooms.
We'd all have to have a similar "grade" of the shroom powder.
I'm not sure how that would happen

if you pack a 00 size capsule very well with powder (pack down with a pencil) you'll have almost exacltly a .5 gram does.

I have seen gelatin capsules at health food stores. They come in sizes like "00" and "000". The store I go to even has vegetarian (non-gelatin) capsules.

i heard some trick with a american nickel, because it weighs about one gram or 1/2 or something then you can wiegh,shouldnt be too hard to make a accurate scale, maybe a metal bar with a ruler and nickel on one side and shrooms or the other till they balance? i dunno...

you can get capsules at health food stores or herbalist supply shops. for example: http://www.herbal-shaman.com/business/frame.htm
a new penny (2001) weighs 2.5 grams. a new nickel weighs 5 grams.
