My parents watch over some plants while I'm away at college. Yeah I know, sweet deal. They are cool with it and everything. But anyways, while working by the garden one day where a plant is located, my dad mentioned something to me. "Heh, about a week and ago I walked by the plant and to my surprise, there was a bud that fell off!" (haha, more like he cut it :laugh: Then he goes on to say "Holy crap!! How the fuck can you smoke stuff like that now a days! For 2 hours I was just "uhhh.... uhhh....." ahahaha. Mmm harvest time soon.

And be thankful you have cool parents.  I thought my mom was going to either disown me or have a heart attack when she read that I was caught with a bong by the police.

Every time I see my parents now it's the same shit.  Drugs are ruining your life, la la la.  I'm a pothead, not a meth-head. :smile:

I've always wanted to be able to sit down and get high with my mom, I think it would help her relax since her job pushes her so hard and she stresses out.  Too bad I've never been able to sway her even once.

One of my bud's father recently asked him about getting a little reefer (and he did call it reefer) for old times sake. So my buddy rolled up a couple of Randy's doobs for his dad.... who thought they were laced with something cuz of the wire he saw when he smoked it.

And also according to his dad..... "today's dope might be stronger and better... but back in the day you could get weed anytime anyplace from almost anybody" and he grew up in squaresvilled Iowa... so that's saying something!

old people dont know about the superweed of today, unless they still smoke. My parents brag about how they used to be able to buy an ounce for like 30 bucks, and I laugh, knowing it was dirt in comparison.

You guys are forgetting that most older people havn't smoked in a good 20 years, or havn't done it very much unless they've stuck with the habit all their lives. I stopped smoking for just 4 months once and I whatever I had when I started again got me REALLY high. Imagine stopping for a decade or two and then packing up a bowl of the kind. It'd be like the first time all over again :blazed: :blazed: :blazed:

My friend's dad is in a band and one night after a gig he came home and just nonchalantly whipped out a sack of the kindest kind bud I'd ever seen and just said "Hey I got this for free, and since I can't smoke, you guys can have it." Or something to that effect. Needless to say we had a great night smoking a free 1/8th of kill.

We used to get some pretty dank shit for $30 an oz, I'll have you know. Seeds from Amsterdam and farmers w/mass acreage = pretty good "reefer".

well I was referring to pot in America. I can't speak for foreign shit. Certainly one can't deny that American weed in the 60's and 70's didnt compare to today's. Not that I was even alive then, Im basing this on testimony of those who were.

my dad has been smoking since the mid 70s. see in the late 80s, homegrown becamse a science thanks to people like hightimes and ed rosenthal and all of them. before then, all weed was imported, well a lot of it. this is the coastline i gotta remember. most of the weed before the 80s was outdoor sativas too.

Well anyways, he really does like all of the local strains and stuff, he loves the variety of all the different tastes and highs. Overall though, he says its not a whole lot more potent then the gold haze he used to buy for $120oz for through the 80s.

and on this subject, i think the days of importation of weed is over because of all this tightass security. I'm kind of glad its mostly domestic now (by me at least). However I believe our fellow american ganja lovers are being a little greedy and taking advantage of this lack of importation/weed droughts. Very greedy. They're making a fortune.

but fuck it, we're safer rite?  :tongue:

I really don't care as long as I don't have to smoke 10 bowels to get stoned. Best I ever had I couldnt even finish a bowel and the worst I ever had was I smoked 6 bowels and felt exausted with a buzz. So as long as it doesnt come to the later of the two I don't care where it comes from

I care. Id love to get my hands on some Turkish hash or something, but the only weed Ive gotten in my lifetime has been domestic, or so I think. I plan on taking a trip to amsterdam sometime in the next 2 years, so I'll get a taste then, if I can manage to get there.
