Who smokes weed everyday?

Now that I have gotten used to smoking weed, I have the temptation to smoke a little everyday. I usually try to only smoke once a week, but there is that tiny voice that says, "Come on, don't you want to just chill out with some weed?" or something like that.

I haven't smoked weed everyday yet, but I am wondering who here does smoke everyday, and what does the effect of smoking everyday have on your life?

I smoke everyday and I love it :smile:  So far I've only noticed positive effects.  There's no better way to wind down after a day than with a bowl.  I also tend to be a lot more productive when I'm stoned.  If I'm sober I'll sit around like a lazy bastard, but when I'm stoned I get motivated to do things that will improve my life.

I've slowly degenerated into a daily user.
I'm interested by most of your posts cause you're a good writer and you're not afraid to talk about details of your personal life. I want to tell you that I marvelled at how you and your husband only smoked once every few weeks. I envied you because I know what a more magical experience it is when you keep it in infrequent moderation.

Don't give in to these cravings you are developing. Keep it in moderation or what will happen is this:
sessions will become less and less special
you will crave it more and more
you will waste more and more of your life
your lungs will get weaker


I now have a long hard hill to climb up to get away from addiction to sobriety before I can ever go back to enjoying marijuana without guilt. I can't stress this enough........keep it in moderation, I would say no more than once a week is ideal.

LOL, just about the mirror opposite of what I said.  I guess it's just another  example of how differently people react to the same thing.  Smoker I'm just interested how long have you been a daily user?  I was a daily user for about a year before it began to ruin my life.

A bowl a day never got me down but all day every day sure had some negative effects, I've been smoking steadily for 4 years now. I'd say overall it probably isn't good, sure daily smokers will tell you their fine but someone who has stopped taken a step back and taken a nice break I can tell you my mind is clearer and sharper just after one week and improves daily. I can tell a large difference as of right now, I'd recommend not letting yourself fall into the habit of daily smoking.

I have been smoking since I was a teenager. I have basically smoked myself into disliking it half the time.

I still smoke though.

If you smoke every day, you will fiend it when you don't get it and you will probably have a bad temper. Whole days can be wasted looking for it.

It kills motivation, makes you edgy and at the most, paranoid. Your memories over the period of time you have smoked kind of fades (I also drank everyday for a while, while smoking).

If you smoke every day, you can get caught up in it so, I would reccomend not getting to the point where you fiend.

sessions become less special:  They haven't for me.  I still get giddy like a school girl when someone walks into the room with a nice bong :smile:   

you will crave it more and more: if you have an addictice personality.  I smoke everyday and I have absolutely no problems going without weed. 

you will waste more and more of your life:  Whos fault is that?  I live a very productive life.  Tell me how a few bowls after work is considered wasting my life? 

your lungs will get weaker:  ever heard of excercise?  I still run a 7 minute mile and I go on 30 mile backpacking trips.  My lungs are just fine.

Exactly I've taken short breaks here and there but this is my first real attempt and becoming sober in life so I can really enjoy those magical aspects of cannabis and get my life together. I became an addict who needed his fix or I'd be in a bad mood, feel un comfortable, not being able to think 'normal', not be hungary, ect.. Although it was only pot I was junky like any other drug addict.

I've been smoking daily now for around 2-3 years. I don't smoke every single day, but pretty close. Probably 26-28 out of 31 days a month.

I'd been a daily user with a very productive life for 2 years before it really took control of me. Maybe you will never reach that point. Yay for you. I think for most people it does though. It's especially dangerous for Ellymysh though cause she's talked about a severe addiction to alcohol in some of her posts from a while ago.

ive been smoking daily for a couple years, a few breaks here and there. i love it, i never get lazy and unmotivated to do things, in fact it motivates me more. i know a lot of people can't get shit done when they smoke as much as i do, but it really helps to mellow me out and makes things more manageable. if i smoke before i start working on a project (whether artistic or studying for school) i get into a zone and my focus is unwavering. seriously, hours will go by without my noticing. the only time i don't like to smoke is when i have to be around a ton of people (like in the supermarket) because im always thinking about random shit and smiling to myself. that must look weird to other people but i guess i shouldn't care.

there are two noticable downsides though: it costs a lot and you build up a tolerance pretty quickly. my ideal cycle would be to smoke every other day, but eh.....

I was still pretty productive when I smoked everyday, I just didn't sit around and get high or waste much time looking for pot, I still accomplished plenty and never missed work or anything. I don't know though it clouded my head and I could really feel it all over my body when I didn't have it at some points.

i started smokin the summer before freshmen year.  i smoked about 2-3 times a week for about 2-3 years, then i smoked 7-8 times a day for a couple years, and now i'm at once a day (except when it's a dry couple days, which doesnt bother me none) it's been like that for about 5 years now. i enjoy it much more now.  sure, smokin 7-8 times a day with my buds was fun, but the money factor came in, and the "i'm already stoned, why smoke more" thing happened...a little in excess. much more conservative now....except at parties once in a while :crazy2:
moderation is the word to be used in this situation
too much of anything is bad for you
but a bowl at the end of the day is a beautiful thing! :sun: :stash:

i used to smoke all day everday, as in like a quater a day sometimes.  it'll slow you down up into the point of how well you work  within this system.  if you don't really care about this system, then there's nothing really "wrong" with it.

though I have adopted the idea that everything should be done in moderation.  :laugh:

I've been smoking pot everyday, or like Smoker^^^ said 26-28 days of the week for about 3 years now.

Through analyzing the fuck out of mushrooms and pot I've come to the conclusion that they're both on the same "wavelength" if you will, however pot is a less intense and more clouded version than mushrooms. Thinking (the trip) isn't as clear when you smoke on mushrooms (at least for me, but only when you're tripping really hard, it brings the trip up if you're tripping lightly). Ever notice that little haze that sets in front of scenery after smoking (its more noticeable on shrooms). Its like looking at a tv screen sometimes...static like, and tends to cloud detail in light. I used to think this was something great, something spiritual (ki, chi, energy, etc), but I'm beginning to think that its just my conscious mind being clouded and fuzzy, with thought and perception. I'm also beginning to realize after a pretty intense acid trip this summer that pot brings about mental disorders with ultra-frequent and gluttonous use over long periods of time due to the very fact that it clouds your ability to think clearly and rationally.
Example: Paranoia gets to you in any situation once rational thought goes out the window.

I agree with Adom on many issues as well reguarding its use. It can be mind expanding in its own sense, and in a less intense mannar than psychedelics when used properly. Although its positives are extremely useful, fun, mind expanding, and spiritually enlightening... abuse of its gifts leads to its negative side which include paranoia, anxiety, shczisophrenia, etc.... and i think that its not the drug itself that causes the negatives (everything does indeed have a plus and minus side to it), but its frequent use over a long period of time allows the conscious mind to eventually "forget" way to think clearly and rationally ( it slips into subconsciousness). This isn't to say things are absolutely hopeless when a mental "disorder" arises from pot use, but rather the struggle out of "them" is a journey in itself to reclaim pieces of you you've lost.

In short I'd say this: with everything there is balance... which involves discipline and awareness. Smoke pot, its good for you... however often is your call, but don't indulge beyond indulgence unless you have plans for spiritual and mental breakdown (example: forgetting pieces of your childhood/past). And if you do indulge, don't allow yourself to slip into cloudedness for you'll have issues to work out later if you change your mind about what you want to do with your mind. How to prevent that is beyond me because I sure as hell allowed it.

For the record I still smoke almost everyday, and am working my way out of metnal issues I believe it helped allow me get into.

Do it how you wish, but remain aware, collected, and clear-headed in your mind if it will be long term use.

Grow yer own and I can make an 1/8th of dank last me nearly two weeks, I could afford a 25$ a week habit plus I would always catch a breeze from friends here and there, if your a big time stoner you find a way.

I smoke when it's available, and do without when it's not. I find I don't enjoy it as much when I'm stoned all the time. Moderation is key.

The Main thing I dislike about smoke'n everyday is temp memeroy loss, thats it. -Just takes more effort to recall stuff sometimes...I say this alot to people; I can do most stuff good high, but do it better sober. The mind expansion overall does me good though, forsure!

Thanks for the feedback, guys.  I don't think that I'll give into temptation after all, because this thread reminded me that yes, I do have an addictive personality.  It's something that I have to be careful with.  I just have to keep myself in check.  Shouldn't be too hard, considering I'm going to be very busy in the next few weeks with college.  Thanks for sharing.  :heart:

For the most part, I've been smoking everyday for a good few years  and I can say, it's probably not necessary.

Side effects of smoking it everyday?

-Larger marijuana bill per month
-you might develop insomnia or always be tired
-if you do it daily for long enough, you might become somewhat dependant on it(might get a little mentally frustrated when without it...can learn to handle it, yet still something to think about)
-high loses the "magic" it once had

My advice is that you try and not give into that little voice.  It's a lot more fun getting high when you don't do it so often  :smile:

...eventually I have to learn to take my own advice  :wink:

The worst thing that has ever ever happened to me is abusing cannabis. First I went one year smoking bud like 2-4 days a week then the next year I smoked hash every day... the latter killed the fuck out of my mental stability. Paranoia, anxiety, insomnia, social anxiety, bad concentration, clouded mind, you name it... friends would catch me thinkig out loud at times without me knowing it even... at least thats what i thought because thats how paranoid I was... you name the worst efects from pot, I had it. Before pot I was the most positive social energetic happy person and made so many friends, girlfriends... I partied constantly and all was good. That side of me... well its comfortably numb still from pot... but slowly slowly since I quit smoking I'm becoming more and more myself. The best thing I've evr done since then is quit the habbit and move away from where people would always smoke around me and pass me the bong. Pot did me in worse than anything else has ever done. WHatever you do, do not smoke every day... I know it works out for most people, but there a number who get completely spaced out on the stuff and the recovery is long.
Besides, is it natural for a person to smoke every day? The buds bloom when they bloom, this is how frequent our use towards marijuana should be, naturally... but every day is just un natural abuse if you ask me and not how nature intended it.
Also nothing is good too much or too little... whatever you do ellemy, be wise about your choice... gain wisdom from your choice and stay above it dont let it cloud you.

Most people don't buy thier own weed if they smoke it every day.

There are tons of ways not to pay!

You could:

hold a stash for a dealer (just don't smoke more than a griz a day and don't smoke up anyone else.)
Become a dealer
Steal (money or weed)
Pinch
Middleman pinch/fee
Grow


Shit, the list goes on and on.

doesnt affect my life negativ at all but some get lazy when they do it everyday and dont get anything done. I get all things done even if I smoke.

I went from once a week to almost everynight within a month. It took me 2 years to make the step from there to smoking whenever I feel like it. After doing that for a year I realize that I got a problem. The good news is that the problem is pretty easy to control. I can go a few days without smoking and I wont turn into a fiend but I just can never find a good reason to not smoke at least once a day (around 9:30pm). It puts me to sleep on time around midnight and signals break time. I would reccomend that you don't let it become such a habit, but don't listen to me for I'm just an addict :-P

I smoke once a week. Sometimes more sometimes less. Rather smoke it at night or when im by myself. If some ne kicks me a nug i smoke or if im at a friends i smoke. But i dont go out of my way in persuite of getting high any more.

I smoked weed every day for about two years, before that it was about every three days for two years, and before that it was casual smoking for about a year then I got this really bad lung infection a few weeks ago and it forced me to quit (several weeks later I'm still coughing up the nastiest flem you've ever seen, so its an incentive to let my lungs/liver rest for a while). Now that I stopped, I feel no desire to start again after feeling so shitty and not being able to breathe at night, falling asleep became a bitch, it really became a pain when I didn't think it ever would at this young an age. Weed is weird like that, I guess moderation is key. You will find more enjoyment in weed not smoking every day I predict.

I smoked before every class I had last year, and pulled off a 3.0 GPA, and this year I didn't smoke before any classes, and got a 3.0 GPA.

You can still perform (more or less) at the same level of ability while high; it's just way harder to actually sit down and bang out some homework/studying. 

During the summer, I work 50-55 hours a week at a nursery, and am so tired when it comes to bedtime that I need no assistance from my herbal friend.  I'd even go to say that it's waaay harder to wake up burnt.

All in all though, weed is a really fun drug.  Several times a day will build you a pretty wicked tolerance, and substantially lessens the effects (for me...everyone is different of course).  Smoking my face off on my 2 days off though really kicks me to the ground if I don't smoke all work week.  :grin:

Tell me about it, I nearly ended up in a loony bin.

Alot of my school friends ended up in psychiatric wards with paranoid schizophrenia.

I found weed fucked me up way more than mdma, amphetamines, lsd, coke or shrooms ever did  :crazy:

I've been smoking weed pretty much daily for a few years.

During my heaviest usage (all day, every day) I become severely depressed, broke, and can't even get high anymore.

Every once in a while I try and quit, but can only do it for a few weeks, then I fall back into it.

I'm quitting again. I hate being fucked up constantly. I feel like a slave to my desire. I have no self control. Whenever I'm bored, instead of doing something constructive I'd find some way to get fucked up.

I have to stop it now. I know I can do it. I don't have a choice.

Don't smoke weed everyday. No good can come of it.

I smoked weed every day for about 7 years and it had a negative effect on my life. I struggled in school, and i struggled with emotion regulation when i didnt smoke. Now i rarely smoke or do any drug ( i even quit caffeine) and my life has improved alot.

I have been a steady smoker for 10+ years. I have gone weeks and months w/out MJ, and to be honest, I preform better if I have had a joint.

MJ effects me differently than most people.

I don't get sleepy/tired from MJ, and I don't get the munchies.

I have taken a piss test high and passed....... twice. :shrug:

Ive meen mostly smoking every day for the last 2 years. I really wish i would wait longer between smoking, because its much more euphoric if i wait longer between trips, but the craving to smoke right now usually gets to me. I cant figure out if I get more enjoyment smoking every day or every week, but if I could slow it down it would save on $$$$.

If your doing fine smoking only once a week I would continue that, I think MJ looses most of its euphoria when smoked every day.

i dont smoke everyday(about 1-3 times a week) but my friends do,and they say never to smoke weed everyday because it makes you very unmovitvated.and they said when you smoke everyday you have like a mental addiction.and if you smoke it everyday the effects arent nearly as good.

I think weed levels me out a lot. Ive been a daily smoker for like 5 years now. My tolerance pretty much leveled out a long time ago. I just make sure i set aside time to get all my important shit done.

After work i puff, after i get done with school crap i relax with bong rips. I always smoke a little bit before bed time.

Its not true that if u study high you only recall it high. When i have to read books for class i always get high, i dont seam to recall any better or worse high or not.

I would smoke more weed, but legal problems bite..if I did still smoke, I would buy an eighth of kind dank bud...spit the bag in half..smoke half of it one weekend...save the other half for the next one...it saves money and I would appreciate the high more..
Especially paying $50-60 an eighth...that seems like a lot after quitting for a while anyway...
I used to smoke dank almost everyday, but after the 3rd day smoking I never got as high as I did the first two days I smoked...
I think it is because of high tolerance, and i have been smoking herb off and on since I was in high school...I think i went a whole year without weed since I first started.. :sun:

i didnt read all the replies, so sorry if i'm repeating something.

i smoke weed once a day, every day. it definitely affects my memory a little bit, but not too too much. i only notice because of all the stupid stoner mistakes i make at work. i'd say there's nothing wrong with it as long as you don't need your mind to be really sharp and on top of things for work. everyone at work knows i'm a stoner, particular other employees dont shut up about it and blame pot for every single mistake i make, which isn't the reason. my boss knows i smoke pot(he does too) and he doesn't have any complaints, so that's all that really matters i guess. there are some jobs that i just couldnt handle while smoking pot daily.

Then, sometimes, like now, when my source's source's source has landed in the clink I smoke the massive amounts of resin that have collected on my pieces. /cough hack

I smoke everyday, and at first it was not so great. I got some social anxiety side-effects, and felt a bit "dumbfounded" for a couple weeks, as if I was living in a cloud...so to speak lol.

After that two weeks though, I got adjusted and it's fine. I enjoy it for the most part.

I just had to acclimate to it, as when I started this a few months ago, I hadn't smoked in over six years...sort of a shock to my system, so to speak

If you smoke every day, you will fiend it when you don't get it and you will probably have a bad temper.  Whole days can be wasted looking for it.

If you smoke every day, you can get caught up in it so, I would reccomend not getting to the point where you fiend.

I smoke daily, and have so for the past couple years...But very small amounts, and usually only in the evenings & before bed unless I'm outdoors doing things.



Really, probably about 0.15g a day, I'll smoke around 0.05g in a smoke session and get very lifted. A gram will last me over a week, I keep my tolerance consistent and in check this way. I'm able to get super stoned off small amounts, but have a tolerance so I don't get stupid high and nonfunctional.
