I confess that I have been slacking on cult work lately. Got myself in a funk after getting laid off in February. Between starting a new job and some deaths I couldn’t get myself motivated.
Last week I spawned a few jars and it feels good to have something going. Going to go hard on a cross I started last year and zaps for the rest of the year.

I confess that I'm both impatient and that I hate cleaning. I knew getting into this hobby that I would have to get better at both (because I read that here). As far as I can tell, I am. Just grabbing the wins where I can I guess.
When I'm between jobs, I hate getting up early as well, but goddamnit if I'm not getting up every morning several hours before the kids in order to get cult done without having to make shit up and lie when they inevitably catch me and ask questions. It's weird to me that of all the times that I've wanted to act more like an adult in my life, it's mushroom cultivation that has been the onus for the change.

Splittinghairs, I agree that we need turmoil to add contrast to our lives. Thank you for your input, man.

Mistakes, great way to put it. I should seek a therapist and give that a try but it gives me anxiety thinking about it. I have never talked to one before. I should try, tho. Thank you.

I apologize for clanking on about my problems and sad sack situation, but you guys are my best resource. I'll try to keep my posts upbeat and silly for a while. You guys have given me a good deal of advice to work with. Thank you.

Real shit. IDK when I last saw my kitchen island clean but voluntarily sweep the lab floor at least a couple times a week.

Then again, if cleaning the living room made me hallucinate...

Many times it has occurred to me that the version of myself I bring to mushcult is the one my boss wishes existed at work. I am not proactively responding to new customer issues, heh.

I prefer the management in these parts. My boss caught biggggg feelings today after I lightly (but earnestly) called him out on spending the last week independently re-arriving at all the advice I gave him 6 weeks ago that got shot down.

Confession: I read "Mistakes" username like "Shitakes" until just this post and boy did my palm meet my forehead.

That's the bitch of the bunch... playing guitar hurts again :frown: and I can't draw, paint, or sculpt. So I'll keep on cooking good food and eating (and drinking) those bad feelings. I'm making a honey-chipotle-citrus-cherry tomato-tequila bbq sauce rt now for these ribs. Also doing some roasted baby potatoes with herbed chevre and air fried broccolic (just olive oil, garam masala and salt on this one).
