Yeah, these straws.
Additionaly i had these

Cut them in the middle and filed and bend them.
Introduced to the straw end, glued with Loctite and pressed together with pliers.
Maybe a bit overboard, but i like going overboard

The way you guessed it will work for sure,
but the straws are thin alu and therefore a bit wobbly,
so shaping them ain´t easy without electric tools.
I would have done it this way if i haven´t had these spatulas.

I used Loctite 401.
Not the most heat resistant,
but the first pc run was successful.

But now as you say it,
i´ll do some without glueing stuff.
Honestly haven´t thought of that beforehand.

I made a second version of this climate controller. It's more compact and can also control an incubator (temperature). For compactness, a neater look, and reliability, I designed the layout on the electronic board. I coded the firmware for it, so it can now be controlled from a phone (or computer). It connects directly to the phone without third-party servers or apps—using any browser. It keeps logs and displays graphs (in the browser). I also made a holder for the temperature and humidity sensor.

These are very common and cheap in american thrift stores if you're not that picky about the specific model. They're usually $5-15 and are almost always in stock.

a reply that is I fear a little too late. the model instant pot i recommended is back to $139, quite an increase from the $54 when I posted last. the thing is I was picky about the specific model. there are a lot of mediocre instant pots, new and used...very few do what this one can. if you want to pasteurize substrate, you can use the keep warm on most models. that setting might give you a temperature of 145f, might give you a setting of 162f, or anything in between. this model has a sous vide setting that allows you to set exact temperatures. want your pasteurization to be at 147f? 151f? that you can do with this model. after you have done the pasteurization, maybe you want  the beneficial microbes like actinomycetes to begin to rapidly reproduce. then you simply drop the temperature to between 120f - 125f. if you have left enough air in the filter bag you can set the 120f temperature and leave it for 12 hours, 24 hours, even 48 hours, and the actinomycetes will flourish. don't try lot with a sous vide in a water bath though or you will end up with an anaerobic nightmare. some things it pays to be picky

That makes so much sense and makes me think of a hot tub timer, kind of works as a one time hot tub for microbes

New gauge.  I suspected the presto stock gauge of being incorrect and it was.  It had me around 4psi too high.

I had to replace my gauge recently, it was reading 5psi higher than normal. Had plenty of bad grains before I figured it out :foreheadslap:

What's that thing in the background?
