It felt silly having a bunch of loose syringes rolling around an empty chest fridge, so I 3D printed this syringe rack, inspired by those old school metal filing cabinets with the little hooky folders that slot in and are suspended. It's made to the exact specs of the fridge, slides in very nice. It has handles that let you take it out like a lunchbox, and are tall enough that you can set other things on top of it without hitting the plunger handles. Or you can just take out a single rack, single syringe, etc. Lil rubber feet because some of the luer caps are taller than I planned for and I needed 3 more millimeters.

The rails are aluminum extrusions for making screen doors. 6 bucks for 8ft at home depot, easy to cut to size. Aluminum + white filament makes it feel a little less obviously home made / printed.

If I did it again, I'd make the pull tab parts less round, to hold tape/labels more naturally. The original idea was to print inserts in different colors so I can tell them apart, but I never actually stock colored filament.

(Aside: walmart's website fully lied about the dimensions of this fridge, it's too wide by an inch to fit under my stairs, and has really fucked my shit right up, but I'm not buying another one, so that's life.)

Since it's jar night: lid rack. This one's still a WIP. The taller one next to it was V1. The taller it got the more it swung on the print  bed so it got increasingly stringy at the top. Technically works but a bit shit. This lower one still gets a bit janky at the very top (and fits multiples of 8 which pleases me). Not fully dialed yet but ittl get there.

Also I literally just now realized that I have a non-bedslinging printer so these are possible without the shaky shaky

Not new-new but fairly new and I really love it. I needed a foldable SAB for my microscopic apartment, had some double wall moving boxes and plexiglass on hand, and whipped this up. There's plexi all around, the little window between the arm holes looks inappropriately small but when you're seated in front of it it's a fine view of what's going on. Arm holes close when not being used. All the raw cardboard edges are wrapped with clear packing tape, set up, blue tape to hold it, blue tape off when done and it folds flat and fits behind the couch. I've done way more agar work than needed since I made this, it's so nice to use.

500ml media bottle for scale; I can comfortably pour stacks of 10 plates in it no problem.
