My pics are always crap, I'm not going to blame it on my camera. It might be cos I be flapping with the bag open and then grab my camera and snap a few pics as fast as poss and get it shut. Thanks tho, cos I'm super relieved it's not an obvious problem. I have a "colour deficiency"
So panic if I afta rely on my ability to see colours. I'm not colour blind. If you've ever heard of an "Ishihara test", you'll know. If not, it's pretty good to take the test. It's a big percentage of the male population who are effected, to different degrees. There's 12 "plates" 1 sample everyone can see, I got the other 11 wrong. Barring me from ever being a pilot, train driver and the reason I was sitting the test and it crushed me, it was 10 years later I cleaned up and thought, shit, I didn't take that disappointment very well.

It's been my birthday this week. I hate getting old, so the less said about that the better.
It's the first chance I've had to get em down and have a squizz. It's Friday so I'm off for a chippy supper with the old man. If anyone has time to have a look at this, I'd really appreciate it. I've never not been worried about the golden Teacher grow kit, started on 04/02/26, and after the excitement of my first pint, it seems to have stalled.
It's difficult as the advice is contradictory, do I continue FAE and misting after pinning, if so how often and much. So I just try my best. Thanks

It's going somwhat slow with your grows, but they look fine. How does the weight of them feel, like do they feel light?

Hi, i think i may have been replying wrong, at least the last few posts, my bad. My birthday wasn't as bad as i thought. Got my dad in a barbers chair, he doesn't wanna go, he's adamant he can do it. But the lads int local barbers really take care of him, cricket was on, Pakistan vs England, I must support England, as I shudda been a fast bowler for them and Yorkshire. But he is West indies and definitely not England. So he enjoyed getting stuck into me with them. We won tho, so whatevs!
I've never thought the Golden Teacher has ever looked particularly good. But the Ape's have definitely looked like I'd imagine a healthy bag would look, an with great advice from you guys, I've full on smashed it, but since that first one popping up an maybe a couple more there seems to have been a stall in progress.
I've been really unsure about FAE'ing it and misting it. The instructions say don't do either once I see pins, "in most cases", so I have been playing it by ear. If it looks dry, mist, an I am FAE every day, but not religiously. I hoped to see an explosion of fun guys.

Well it seems pretty obvious that, starting to FAE, at least once a day, misting if it looks particularly dry, has kick started my APE's back into life. There's been more action these last couple days, than the past week.
It's only thru the bag, but I hope it shows the point. They seem to favour the sides. An the biggest one is a bit freaky looking, but that's been said about me too. So it's all good with me. All fun guys welcome.
Still not much happening with the Golden Teachers. The APE's make up for that tho. I literally can't wait to see em every day, see how much they have grown. It's so exciting.

I think I've been replying to myself this whole time.
Everyone has been so helpful, I felt a bit cheeky to be demanding an answer, so I just left it, the second time i thought, for the exact same reason, everyone being so helpful, something isn't right.
If I'm wrong an you guys are tired of me droning on, if not, I've done nothing different while posting so I don't know what happened.
But if poss could anyone cast their eye over my pics please?

I'm really sorry for my late reply, I've been mad busy. So I've had to move them to a different room, for unrelated reasons. But I had actually moved them down from the high shelf I'd had them on. I also started to FAE twice daily and reduced my misting. I took out the 2 that were growing in the APE bag cos they were over a week old and I hoped they might do me something, I'm pretty sure they did.
Anyway I think it's helped, I hope the golden Teacher has woke up. Now I'm fretting about the fact there's only one seems to grow in what seems a perfectly happy bag.
I've been living with em for a while now so I think I can get an idea of what they reckon. There's also no real smell, certainly not a bad one.
Any ideas, please and thank you

It's great news, I'm 2 for 2 on my first attempt at growing mushrooms at home. I can't blasted believe it.
There's a definite one in the corner of my Golden Teacher kit, which I've never liked the look of. The sides are lovely and white, totally covered, but the top isn't. But today I noticed it, the Ape has more than one, but the other ones are tiny.
I seem to only be able to get 1 mushroom at a time. How can make the whole bag grow, like in the pictures.
Any idea, and thank you so very much for all your help. There's no way I cudda managed it without your help, you've genuinely been awesome and I really appreciate it.

Would you be so kind as to have a squizz at my 2 grow bags please. I'm overjoyed to be 2 for 2 on my very first attempt at growing mushrooms. I'm happy to admit it was totally impossible without all the help and kindness shown me on this Shroomery forum, it's genuinely been a real value add that I wasn't even aware was a thing.
I'm hoping a harvest will eventually bump it down to second place. But until it has, joining this community is by far the best thing about this entire project. I doubt I'd still be in the game, if only because of the time it's taken to reach this point.
How can I encourage the whole bag to grow?
The APE's are on 53 days, and the golden teacher is day 37. It's on me for the snail like progress. Cheers

There so few an far between an the 2 biggest must be over a week old, and I've been patiently waiting for ages. I am considering getting them all out, starting the second flush. An keeping my fingers crossed they work. With it being Friday night an all. It'd be rude not to. No?

But sure you could do that, it's hard to tell how big they are just by picture though. How will you prepare for a second flush?

Wow! You've full on made my day. It's brilliant to imagine my drivvle actually helping someone. That's brilliant cos I've received so much help from everyone on here. I doubt i can offer any assistance on the grow. But I'm overjoyed to be of assistance in any way I can be.
By the way, my 22g of fresh Albino Penis Envy and Golden Teachers, we're bloody awesome. Everything i hoped for and more. I can't wait for the second flush.
