Arcturus - anyone listen to them?

Has anybody here had the privilege of listening to Arcturus? They're my favourite band and I figure that people on this forum must have heard of them, since their music is trippy, emotional, and beautiful! They play a type of metal that can't be fit into any sub-genre of the genre. Very original stuff.

If you haven't heard Arcturus, I'd recommend that you download either

La Masquerade Infernale



The Sham Mirrors



and/or Aspera Hiems Symfonia (preferably the remastered version)



Then their remix album, surely the trippiest of them all:

Disguised Masters



Since my recent discovery of these boards, I've heard lots of talk of bands like Sphongle as being excellent trip music. When I downloaded some of their songs, though, I was really unimpressed. It seems that Arcturus does it all, just at a much faster pace and with more emotion! So I'm making this post not to show off that I know of a superior band, but because I think you would all really enjoy listening to Arcturus!

Just like I want to spread the joy of shrooms, out of love for my fellow man/woman, I want to spread the joy of this band. :smile: I can't explain how good their music is, you just have to experience it for yourself!

hell yes!!i've been trying to turn trippers on to Arcturus for awhile now.awesome band.La Masquerade is a godly album.an awesome album to explore your mind with.also folks check out Solefald
