When you got sick from the stones, did you eat them fresh or dried? Did you prepare them a certain way?


I got these three aluminum trays ( AND 4 flushes= 12 aluminum trays  TOTAL ) from only 2 cups of wheat colonized and as for the stones
I ate them fresh. They’re about impossible to eat dried unless you crushed them and prepare them in certain ways and honestly, I don’t think they can compare with the fruit so I don’t normally bother.

Thanks dude! I’m trying to figure out the best way to harvest this and when. I also don’t know when they truly are ready to harvest and if I should go for a 2nd flush or just harvest the fruits and the sclerotia and then toss the tubs. Any advice?

Not really anything solid, but I'd definitely shoot for 2nd flush. Harvest was a mess for me too - I'm thinking a casing layer next time and trying to peel the whole layer off and then snipping fruits off it. Ive got a ton of coir in the dehydrator right now. 😬

A little sand in the casing really promotes that easy to peel harvest, too.

I cased it after a month of colonization and letting the sclerotia grow. I cased it with about a half inch maybe a bit less, with seedling starter mix and calci-sand hermit crab sand. I mixed it to FC and pasteurized it in vac seal bags with my sous vide at 160° for 2 hours.

Sorry for a duplicate post, but I’m just so excited about this grow! First of two shoeboxes of ATL7. Took a while to harvest all these! 135g of fruit after trimming the sandy bottoms off. I think I did good for a first time with these! 🤩😍

I kept on using the same clone I got from a pin and time after time everything I did look just like that I didn’t like it so I reverted back to a multi spore  culture.
It may be me, but I actually thought they were weaker to me

I had the same thing happen with Pans before. Sorta like the stipe has a root
if that makes any sense... I blamed it on my patching and thickish
experimental casing layer :shrug:
It WAS an isolate too, not sure if that helps.
But it was pretty cool seeing something like that for the first time.

Cloned my 'Valhalla' truffles from a dutch smartshop onto two different kinds of agar:

- water agar
- mea (17.5 g agar + 20 g malt extract + 1.25 g yeast extract + 1 liter water)

The T0-plates looked nice i think.
After transfering to the T1-plates everything still looked fine, but then a kind of circle around the middle of the plate appeared.
The myc looks like burned.
Do you think it's a kind of mold sporulating or is the top of the myc just drying out?
Not sure if it would be save to open these plates in front of my flow hood.
Maybe it's better to do the next transfer in a glove box?

Knowing Dutch stones it is probably Ps. Tampanesis, the mycelium yellows with age. Looks fine to me.

This is how I tell if a bag of stones is ready to be harvested. The mycelium actually starts dying after a while, and you can see. It’s a different color and texture than the rest in the bag.

Stones are five months old so they should be very potent, but I can’t eat them cause they kill my gut



Used what was approximately 2 cups of wheat after  colonization
Two approximately three large handfuls of pasteurized coir
Mixed well, then cased with approximately eighth of an inch of bone dry Pete Moss
The reason I use dry Pete moss is because the Martha will add all the moisture needed so it’s one less step that I have to worry about plus it helps distribute the Pete moss evenly over the substrate
After about a week of colonization, I will start to see pins then approximately a week later I will be ready to harvest so two weeks total time

That's interesting.
I have never grown stoneproducers before, will try to take some time and read into the topic.
Do the stones contain more psilocybin if they age for a longer time in the bag?
