For me this hobby is all about finding out. Sure if your goal is just to grow mushrooms you can follow teks and write ups here to a T. I like to try, fail, and learn! Don't get me wrong when it comes to basic shit like being sterile with your work there is no wiggle room for me, but spawn ratio, substrates, recipes for agar and LI, would I or wouldn't I send it, I say live and learn!

My single biggest regret in life is that I'll never be able to grow a mustache/beard combo just like this gif. My neckbeard ancestry is too strong.

The eyebrows are the key to this.

PSA! Be very careful putting stainless steel trivets or adding stainless steel bolts to your aluminum trivets if you use a aluminum PC like the Presto 23qt. I have ran mine only twice since purchasing it and on the second run I placed the stainless trivet from my Instant pot under my aluminum trivet to give it some height. After the run I noticed galvanic corrosion in the pot.

I have this all over the bottom of my Presto from running it like 100 times since adding bolts. Guess I was just hoping they were scratches from the aluminum being softer than the stainless.

This is probably a low grade stainless.

Edit - lazy man’s research via Grok -  In a galvanic couple, aluminum will corrode preferentially to protect the stainless steel.
