I just pulled some gyms from storage. Need to get the ball rolling again on these guys. Contamination is at an all time low. Like literally have never had it this low before ever πŸ˜‚ good things coming..... If some of these other grows would just pin already πŸ™„

How long do these normally take to pin? Had a bag cased in my dreamer tub for over 2 weeks now, zero sign of contam, zero sign of anything :/

First pin in a MS tub from a different region than my first round. Very curious to see how they’re different. Pin already looks a little different. More cube like. Less alien.

There’s another a couple of weeks behind it colonizing right now. I think I’ve got a good enough system in place for gyms that I can grow them reliably from spore now.

These are super different from the other source. Entirely different morphology. Keep in mind, this is a MS tub so there’s a lot going on in here, but compare these pins to the pins from my most recent tubs and they’re totally different.

Weirdly, I’m not sure these are going to open. They mature much slower than the other source, and appear to not want to open at all. I may pick all this and see what flush 2 brings in.



Any ideas why? Some are going soft and rotting, which is expected after this much time on the sub.

I went from Gymnopinnus to Gymyespinnus, but that's pretty much it. Nothing contamed so far, so it must be my shitty treatment and not the culture.





At least I'll be at home for the next two weeks, so they'll finally recieve a modicum of care.
