I was thinking the same thing. The longer I’ve waited it the darker they’ve printed.
What’s your printing setup, angamshroom?

^the left pic is every one of my semp prints.
:smbfacepalm:
On first flush, they're packed in so tight it seems like the stems can start losing integrity before the caps get quite dark enough. But I'm trying to leave current flush to get nice n mature, it'll help that they're more spread out and beefier I hope.
:persistence:
Regardless of what angams current printing method turns out to be- what's the consensus on best technique? In a shoebox w/ misted lid ala milkboys journal/advice from the good rev?

These are the ones that went into the seals.

I print in sealed containers. The foil lies on a moistened foam rubber and in a humid environment.I'll post a photo later.

Revs advice worked perfectly for me, after struggling many times it was quite a breath of fresh air. Revs technique got me nice extremely dark prints

That sounds interesting. Looking forward to the pictures.
Best of luck.
I like printing from mature caps.

Edit: changed prints to caps.

I will listen to your advice and try to bring them to a mature state in the future. I'll write down what came out of my prints . Thank you.

How long do you stand the caps on foil for good printing?

Congratulations bro) I would be very glad if you shared the recipe for growing, you already understood what the nuances are, right?

Update on my 3 surviving shoeboxes.

Slow growing, but more pins (really more like buds) coming.  Pans start off like things that look like pins.  These just start from a fat little blob and then get going.

Some of the weird color is from the bluish grow light I have going mixed with setting sunlight....

Feel free to comment or give advice.

@hardhead

Just curious. Are you giving a nice heavy misting around twice a day?

Yes.  Surface looks dry again by the time I mist it.  I'm giving it around 5 pumps from 32 oz garden spray bottle.  Ends up with everything wet after spraying with little bit of water clearly visible on surface.  Also try to make spray hit top of shoebox lid.  Lids are left cocked with air gap on corners.  Making sure to hit the fruits with the mist.  The vermiculite casing is hard to look at and judge moisture content.

I've got another round of these coming along in a water tub that are just about ready to case.  Figure that bunch will do better.  Hoping I can keep nursing these along to get some fruits.  Considered putting these shoeboxes into a larger tote with a little water in bottom of tub.

Thanks for following me on this.

Been a while since I had anything worth sharing here, but finally patience pays off. These are the supposed “fast” lineage. This was from LC that was in a jar at room temp for over a year. Shot to two quarts of wheat 3/28, spawned to coir only 4/20, kind of forgot about it for a while and cased with peat/verm/lime 5/31. This is total neglect tek, sealed tub with some holes sitting on the floor of a closet. I didn’t even mist them until today for their pictures. They’re not done yet, but I haven’t looked in on them in about a month and was pleasantly surprised. They were growing towards the light from the open closet door.

My high tech record keeping on display.

Well darn.......now the question becomes to mist or not to mist.  Makes me want to take 1, put the lid back on straight....maybe latch one side and leave other unlatched for some fae and litfa.  Continue misting other 2.......

Decisions decisions.  I love the neglect tek.  My kind of grow if I can get away with it.  Thanks again.

I think this speaks more to the resilience of this mushroom than anything else. I’m certainly not advocating for neglecting these, they deserve better, but life situations really got in the way of my cultivating lately. It seems that clean spawn and the slow speed of these allowed a good outcome from less than ideal practices.

Second attempt at these, first one was a bust. I have 4 jars of wheat that all look the same as this one from the same batch inoculated 28/6, I want to try spawning 2 of them in separate shoeboxes and leave 2 for a couple months to try the myceliated grains.

Checking in to make sure if this growth is OK and how long should I wait before spawning them?

Frankly, i rarely harvest fruits because of my lazy ass. This is the typical look of my aged harvest. Please ignore the random japanese cube stipe sitting on top lol

That being said and for what its worth, i still find Semper wine (myceliated grain) to be much much stronger and consistent, potency wise to this day. Different strokes for different folks ofc.
