Thinking outside the box - An Exercise in Thought
    #2917004 -

My appologies if this has been posted before.  If you already know the solution, please hang onto it for a bit to give others a chance to think it over..

We have all heard the term, Think Outside the Box, but what does it actually mean? One of our interested readers has supplied a concept that may entice you to understand just what it means to Think Outside the Box.

Draw this simple box of dots on your own little scrap of paper and begin with these simple instructions.

* The idea is to connect the dots with lines, but only four lines will do.

* Position your pencil on one of the dots and do not allow the pencil to come off the paper, that is, do not pick up the pencil and start from another place in the box. It must be a continuous flow of writing once you start. Think outside the Box!

* When you think you may have figured how to think outside this box, post your answer.

I did it with one line by rolling the paper into an offset cylinder.

* Must be done with the paper kept flat at all times.

hehe, that had me for a second, but lines 3 and 4 (i think thats what they are labeled) should be parallel.  :wexican: I think you have the basic jist of it though lol.

Yup, you saw my flaw.

They obviously aren't straight lines, how sly... >:)

Here is another easy one.

You are in a room with solid walls, floor and ceiling. The room has no windows or doors. The only items in the room is a mirror and a table. How do you get out?

erm... I am very frightened to notice, that I can see this stuff without light, coming to the scary conclusion, I must be a vampire.
So I break the mirror against the solid wall and cut a sharp peg out of the table, to ram it into my heart.
So I dissolve...leaving the room...

Sorry, no idea

ok I think I remember it..well most of it..

Somehow you get a saw, and saw the table in two (two halfs make a whole) and you crawl out the hole!
