They are indeed the holy grail of active sacred mushrooms.

I have some pints and quarts of millet colonizing. So far I’ve only succeeded with 8 oz aio dishes.  Larger grow attempts contaminated without fruiting.
One of the jars is growing since December. I might try mycellated grain with it.




I feel your pain, brother :hug: That's why I split my jars between bulk and myceliated grain purposes. Try using smaller trays next time you do bulk, like those take out food trays that are popular with pans. Best of luck and hang in there :heart::heart:

Kept one quart jar around for now cuz I've been perusing that myceliated grain thread. Plus maybe can pull some grains out to agar to keep it running without starting over if these tubs don't work out

Always a good idea but if the jar has lasted this long and still looks good, I’d say your tub will probably do fine

Haven't had any luck with it yet, all previous attempts so far have colonized alright, then poked thru casing looking fine as hell before ultimately doing nothing for weeks or months and then triching out. These are the best looking jars and still look solid after all this time so I'm hopeful...

First tray was chopped a few days ago. Had some shit on the lens but here's the final pic.


Second tray probably coming down in the next day or two.




Two more just getting started. A little side pinning probably due to high speed work lol. I'm sure they'll be fine in the end though.


Another tray colonizing on top of three zapotecorum trays.




Two more jars ready to spawn. That will make four more trays and the cycle continues lol.

Is it just me or is taking clones of semp fruits a bit difficult?  The fruits were so damn stringy I couldn’t get a good piece from inside the stipe.

Hard to clone fruits I do a sterile wash , sterilize 3 jars of water , once cool I add a tad bit of bleach to the first jar , take my sample ( I don't bother trying to get a mid section just a chunk of fruit ) and put it in jar 1 and shake it up and leave for a few minutes , remove it and put it in jar two of pure sterile water and shake , repeat to third jar and from there to agar.
This works extremely well for wild fruits as well
