10-4! The color is dark green more than blue, so I thought I had an issue. I guess plucking is the way to go from now on. Thanks fellas!

They can stain green sometimes.  I've seen ovoids do it a lot.

Do you have to boil grains when making grain spawn bags? Or just soak them or add water? I use milo/red sorghum.

I've got these plates. they look ok, but I don't have any room for them at the moment.

I want to store for about a month. can I just bag them and put them in the fridge? and then warm them up for a day and put them to grain?

I always attributed a greener staining to how golden the stipe is.. the more golden/yellow, the more the stipe color shines through the blue staining.. yellow + blue = green.  Stem butts near or at the sub level tend to have very yellowing inner stem tissue.. that’s why you see a lot of green hues in the stumps.

Yes that's what I do and I store them for even longer than that. I put them in a ziplock bag and leave the ziplock bag a little open because I noticed if you totally seal the ziplock bag a lot of condensation ends up in the plates. I made successful transfers from agar plates that was stored in the fridge for 4 months. I also inoculate grains with agar straight out of the fridge without waiting a day. I don't know if it makes a difference but it works.

Edit: I have a small fridge strictly for mycology. I would seal the ziplock bags if storing in your regular fridge.

It's funny how public this forum is, isn't it?  I google: shroomery & question? and the AI basically pulls up all related post in seconds.  kinda gave me vibes.

STOP FEEDING THE AI BEAST!!!!!!!! Especially feeding it stuff from here.

You can turn off that "feature" in your browser settings - and you should. Google/Meta/Apple/etc are not paying you, so don't be an unpaid beta tester FFS!!!! That used to be a job that paid you actual money, now it's "a new feature that we made for your benefit!"

I don’t agree with your theory, I have the goldest stemmed cube fruits mixed in with these eniQmas (what I’m choosing to call them for now). They’re cheesewheel and they bruise dark blue/black. I’ll post tonight when I harvest.

Unless you mean the inner flesh color, in that case I can see what you mean

It's beginning to eat it's own tail anyway.  As AI feeds itself it's own content it will get worse and worse

Googled a recipe and it literally told me to use wood shavings and glue as a filler

The refrigerator is a bacterial playground.  Keep those ziplocks sealed regardless of the condensation.

I work at a tech company that a lot of you probably do business with on a regular basis. AI is bullshit. Mark my words, it'll collapse within a year. The hallucination problem is not solvable with present tech.

It's incredible how shitty it is.  Just staggering that they are burning the planet alive for images that will never migrate out of uncanny valley and recipe advice that includes liquid mercury

At least technology is amazing and does all of our jobs for us so we're not working longer hours than ever for less pay and benefit.

How are these jars looking guys? It’s hulled millet with golden teacher. After the first shake at 90% took them 5 days to reach 100%. It’s been 2 days since their second shake at full colonization and they are almost completely recovered.

I have a ton more pics of their colonization process here
