I started using stiffer agar just because it’s easier to deal with, using needles instead of scalpels.
As usual my sample sizes are too small to conclude with anything, but I rarely have issues with cleaning. When I do, I’ve resorted to sequestering.
Softer agar has been troublesome.

These are updates from my tub. I think it's been ~1 week now but honestly I'm not sure, might be two weeks lol. The issue was I had the holes in my monotub open and there was too much FAE. I misted it (possibly too much) a few days ago. I took the top off of to take these pictures. Could you guys tell me how this looks? Thank you guys!!

I would  work with the stem sample as it's obviously more aggressive and more robust.
maybe keep the other around for observation.

If it's cubensis, you don't need to case it. I wouldn't touch it, it's looking good

If one places a jar on it's side, is the lid then (more) prone to get removed from the jar?

Normally I have my jars always standing up, but yesterday (due to lack of space) I placed one jar on it's side, and after the PC cycle, I found the lid removed from the jar, and some grains on lots of places. It must have been blown or trembled off. There aren't many grooves on these lids. But I wonder whether it is kind of normal to happen or was this an ANAMOLY?

edit: +PS: I can't remember a lid have ever been blown off from a standing jar during PC cycle. (and I do remember lids being blown off from cans when I was younger and experimenting with fireworks and carbide, but that's a total different story and not to be repeated).

How do you use syringes instead of scalpels? Also I literally didn't know charcoal was bad to use for agar Knight. I received a petri dish and transfered to charcoal plates should I be worried?

Activated charcoal doesn’t affect growth

If you fill a syringe with distilled water, sterilize it with your agar wrapped in a foil package and then attach a needle. You can poke a plate and shoot the transfer into another dish or lc. Look up Josex poke method

Was it Fahtster that I saw had also bent the tip of a needle over to create a tiny hook? I really like that idea too!
