Hi,
My llama Hercules attempted something similar. But he added some composted steer manure, purchased from a nursery, to some vermiculite, and pasturized the whole thing. this was added to some colonized substrate that had already flushed once, and was recrumbled. the substrate regrew mycilium OK, but it wouldn't touch the steer manure compost for some reason. Wrong ph? I don't know, but I think hercules will try some hay instead next time. Rxwoman.

Excellent growth so far.... very solid growth....

But I didn't mention that I also used 'homestead' dung in half the jars...... the ones mixed with the HS dung are doing better than the 'greensmix', but they are both colonizing.

These are growing well.. . about 35% colonized, 7 jars were mixed in slightly different ratios.... all have slightly different growth aspects... the homestead dung is a little better than the store bought compost....
