Since I cant find Scotts 3-n-1 compost mix anywhere I decided to email them and I got this reply:

Thank you for your interest in Scotts and for the opportunity to help you
with your lawn and garden
endeavors.

Scotts 3-In-1 Organic Mix is no longer in our product line. You
may want to check your local
retailer for a replacement product.

Again, thank you for your interest in Scotts. Please feel free to contact
our company anytime we may be
of assistance.

Consumer Service

So those of you that have stores that still sell this stuff you guys better go stock up on it cuz its gonna disappear.

Hey there,

The Lowe's I went to had several pallets of the stuff...I grabbed two bags but will go back for 8 more. 280lbs should do it...and it is good for the garden also.

Best regards,

KingBolete

Hey there,

The Lowe's I went to has a garden area that is on the end of the store...it is open air but shaded and all the bagged soil, compost, mulch, etc. is kept in the area. There is a fence surrounding it and connecting it to the store....

Best regards,

KingBolete

Did you call any of your local nurseries? Most carry compost as well...

Or you can look up horse farms in the yellow pages...large boarding barns have tons of poop to get rid of every week...sure they wouldn't mind giving you some.

NICE! was that mixed with vermiculite? i just spawned some w/o it and not sure if it will work. also how much water did you add, mine held in clumps straight out the bag. is that enough moisture? (i added just a tad)

Just picked up 3 more bags, they have 2 palletts left. Everytime I go by the local Lowes I pick up a few.
