rarity or common - white N. Rustica (with pics)
    #2897383 - 07/16/04 04:34 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

It started with a second season mother plant - more specifically an offchute of one of the 4 main chutes, it had a half white leaf.  I say "Hmm maybe I can get a whole white tobbaco stash" and so I cut the tip of the half white leaf to sent the new growth back.  And sure enough a week or so later two new leafs come in - one green one white.  I cut off the green one, and a bit after that the half green leaf was cut off.  Then I thought maybe I should cut the main stem just above the white.  Sure enough again - the white growth is getting more little leaves coming in, I cut off any mostly green leafs.

Then I remembered that this plant is just the offchute of another main plant, which is taking up a lot of the plants energy to get big - so I cut it off (toward the upper left after the fork in the stem)  You can see in this pic I'm pointing to where the stem splits left and right.  In the aquafina bottle is the clone I cut from the left of the stem.

The cats at this house messed up the white leafs a bit   and one of the leafs was mamed by a cardboard moving box(during the move)

What do you think?

I think it's awesome dude, lol  I'm very interested to see if anyone else has seen this. I came across 'something' the other day that had the words white and tobacco somehow together, but i guess i didn't look into it or forgot.

Not uncommon occurence in the plant world. In a class i took we cultured a bunch of albino african violets. Even though we cultured them and got full albino plants they eventually turned green again, it was neat however.

What's odd though, is that the white tobacco tastes different (better even) and adds a little bit more to my high than normal tobacco (when mixed with weed). Why is that so?

Beats me. It most definitely has to do with the concentration and presence of phytochemicals as a result of the albinoism. That's all i could offer. I don't know any exact reasons.
