I've had perspectives on how I've lived in the past it's now I'm looking for some guidance on. Now and the future. From the research I've done over the last year and a half, dosing correctly I should be able to alleviate my ptsd and depression symptoms somewhat. I always prepare in advance I book somewhere private and always in the dark with headphones. My life is very stressful atm as I'm working away and dont see my family very often also exhausted from 50/60 hour weeks at work so maybe I should book an entire week off and dose in the middle of it rather than just 2 days off. Get into a relaxed state during the run up. I have faith as I've felt on the lib dose that I'm communicating with the mushrooms asking for their guidance. Must sound crazy if anyone that has never taken them were to read this lol.
Keeno do you use mushrooms for recreational purposes, healing, both?
What kinds of experiences have you had with them?

well pretty much most of my early days were recreational, but from them came healing. the healing of connection, and wonder and laughter and learning/ experiencing a new view point on life.
I've had hilarious, colourful, mind blowing experiences, and I've had 4 hours of puking and regret and shots of terror...
so a mixed bag
I've not tripped for a good while now, as I've a little toddler and time/ headspace don't allow. but I microdose frequently and that gives me focus, courage, sanity.
I do feel that through tripping I experienced a profound connection with nature/ gaia and through that, found inner peace and lost my fear of death (and through that, loss of fear of living) I felt happy to just be pottering on and my anxieties were put into sharp perspective.
Time and life have somewhat shadowed this knowledge and like a dream, it fades over time, but can still be recalled. however, when you're in the moment, feeling like death, scared as shit about something you can't identify, it's hard to draw on that to help you regain happiness/ mental peace. In the moment, more practical things help (going for a walk, listening to music, hydrating, counting your blessings, meditating etc) and then knowledge gained through psychedelic exploration can be drawn upon to help get your head straight.

I did have a period when I sought answers to my problems, using psilocybin and DMT, but as someone said on the DMT Nexus - DMT doesn't give you answers, just more questions - so all I can say is don't expect a cure from a big dose of shrooms, just another perspective.

good luck brother! and feel free to pick my brains on anything

Bigmac, what meds do you usually take? It may be that 2 weeks isn't nearly enough time to let them leave your system. I just find it hard to believe someone could need that many grams of cyans to feel anything.

I've taken multiple. The last being venlafaxine. I haven't taken prescription meds since november 18. I dont know what went wrong tbh I expected 4g to be powerful. I had eaten that day, a steak about 6 hours beforehand so maybe that got in the way I dont know. All I know is I got to a point where I wanted to feel something then in the end just felt lower than I have done in a long time for a few hours. I felt far more of a trip from 5.5g libs. I'll be trying again soon but with tea. Wasnt nice throwing up those wavys

Thank you for your reply keeno it's very much appreciated.  Kind of makes sense what u say about no answers but more questions. I think maybe I should take a break in that case as my head is a constant whirl of questions. For example my 2 biggest interests arent legal in the uk. They are considered criminal. Yet in other countries people make a living from at least one of them.  Its huge business (weed) I'm torn at my age between family and relationships which I love, combined with making a living doing things that bore me to death. Then i could sacrifice my relationships and move abroad to enjoy earning a living but leave behind the people i love! The uk is shit liberally. So stuck in the stone age. I dream of 300 days of sunshine a year, being able to enjoy weed as a lifestyle and also study and grow mushrooms without feeling like a criminal.  My conscience tears at me daily over being moral or doing what could potentially make me happy til the day I die. Sounds shallow but I truly enjoy cannabis all the strains, smells, flavours and the growing etc. I also have fallen in love with growing mushrooms and expanding consciousness. Here in the uk it's all about the house the car the career etc. I've just never felt that way about work lol. But it would be nice to 🤣
Ah well tomorrow is another day and who knows where I'll be in a years time.
Still on shroomery though I hope. Such an interesting site with so many awesome people on it.

On a plus note... This is woodchip from the first cyan patch I've ever seen...
On corrugated cardboard in a plastic takeaway tub.

You need to get some more wood in there or it won't live long,

Hi Doc thank you for the advice 👍
I am going to buy some chips today to add to it. I'll then expand to egg boxes and then to more chips and so on....

ah the grass is always greener eh?
haha
yeah I reckon I'd love growing as a job, but in my experience, after a while it normalises and then becomes a job, becomes hard work.
give it a few years and it'll be legal here, for sure
the government always want scapegoats, an element of society who they can point at and say "look! look at all these terrible people! don't look at us fucking you over and being incompentant, look at those terrible people! let me bumble through my job badly and get rich and don't scrutinise me fucking you. Look! terrible people over there!"
in the 90's it was drug users, but people are wising up to that, as most people know someone who smokes/ gets pilled up, and they know it's fine. Now it's terrorists.
you can get away with up to 6 plants without it even going to court these days (although that's advisory, if you're doing it near kids or if you get a lot of complaints, it might escalate to a prosecution, but thye advice from the top judges is don't even prosecute for less than 6)

leaving family and friends is a big step. exciting, life affirming, but hard work.
and don't kid yourself that America is any better in terms of being small minded (car, house, shiney things) if anything it's worse. There ae groups of genuine people all over the place
good luck brother

The grass is only greener if you nurture, feed and cultivate it or it's growing on a pile of shit that will burn it every so often.  Life's not any different, you get what you put into it and learn to read between the lines.

Hey guys, I’m new to shrooms, been hearing a lot about wood chip beds in public areas. I know a great spot of waste land with wood chip dumped all over. Just been and got a handful with some real nice growth on it. I’ve got it in a plastic tub in the greenhouse. What do you think my chances are of getting some fruits?

At this point I’m just testing things out. If they’re not psychoactive I’m not particularly bothered. I’d just like to get something to fruit.

If you've got woodchips with healthy myc on them and they spread well to new chips, I'd say you've got a decent chance of having something pop up at some point.  May not be this season, but who knows?
