I have some 11 qt tubs I use. This time I have more than before running at the same time and can't avoid stacking them so needed a modified tub for the first time.

I used a 2.5mm awl I had to melt holes in the same OG pattern (3 on long side closer to substrate, 5 on short sides up at top). Doing a good job so far, might need the optional holes adding but just letting them run for now to see.

Edit: wanted to mention, to make the process super fast I cut out a template from corrugated cardboard that fit inside the gaps around the outside edge of the lip for the lid, just sorta pushed it up under the lip to fit between a couple of the strengthening ribs (apologies if I'm not describing it well), and on the template we're the hole locations so I wedged in my template, heated up the awl with blowtorch, and then melted all the holes through the template. This saved a ton of time, especially due to the number I had to do.

It looks like I need more FAE in my tubs. They are showing symptoms. Since I had multiple tubs I did some with and without the bottom side hole. And the ones with them set pins way better. But I still need more FAE. I am humidifying the room it’s in to 65-70.

How many and where should I add these holes to start? And increase at what increments?

Here are some examples of recent grows showing I think showing it needs FAE

The first three are stargazers, fuzzy feet and thin
*I harvested the big ones and am trying to see if the rest will grow any or are aborts.
 






This is PE, think it was creeping? And very fuzzy feet as well, first pic was a few days ago. And at harvest

I would turn off the humidifier first.  High humidity air doesn't help the substrate transpire moisture near as well and will effectively choke the tub.

It drops to like 30% rh. They say it should be at least 50% in the room.

Sooo you're artifically making the air moist (excessively IMO), then wanting to add more airflow to the individual tubs to make up for it? 

Why not just get the RH near 50% by turning down the humidifier then adjust the tubs (if needed)?  Dialing in tubs for 65-70% RH will leave you with excessive FAE issues if you can't maintain the RH.  50% is alot easier to maintain at any point of the year even if it's dry AF outside.

I don’t think I’ve ever lived in a place that had 50% RH. More like 5% - 10%

Just an FYI a Pasty EZ Dial served me well for pans as well. Not quite as much FAE as required but I didn’t have the optional holes drilled so I’m attributing it to that. Just as they started to come in though I got beat down by gnats though. Nevertheless they loves the environment and started to pin!
