A Message of Love
    #2764569 -

A little love goes along way, Love is an elementry teaching of universal law that binds all "living" things together for higher purpose, without it we will cease to be. With love all things are possible, love grows and nutures our very existince and by loving man your loving God who is Love Eternal, love your children and hug them evryday, husbands love your wives and be willing to lay your own desires at her feet, "for without love in the dream it will never come true'" Love is Eternal never changing , unfaultering , never waving , always there , endures all things, belives all things, always forgiving, never seeks it's own intrest but that of another.Love is real people and will not fade away, no greater love is this when a man lays down his life for another. Be Christ like

Yeah, that zebra really feels the love when the lion claws him apart.

With love all things are possible
I could list a near-infinite number of things not possible with or without love. Can you demonstrate this teaching or is it a mere splatter of words?

"Be Christ like"

thats a great message man!

too bad people have been preaching it for 2000 years and it hasnt amounted to shit-all.

Time for a new solution beez and geez. How about this:

nobody tells anybody what to think and we all go about our bussiness as if nothing ever happened.

-lets try that for a couple millenia and see if it produces better results.

generally whats wrong with it is that love encourages jerks to keep on being jerks, etc etc.

plus i'd say its better to be supremely functional than supremely loving. oh well.

wow, a post in which i agree with swami!

My problem with peleg's post is that it's totally meaningless.. As in, it has NO meaning.

Nothing's really wrong with it, it's just been said a million times over. And I'm sure the complaining has been also said a million times over as well.

Yes, love is a terrible thing.

Re: A Message of Love [Re: peleg]

It seems the lot of you don't fully understand, or at least haven't truly felt what Love can do for you, and for the world. Peleg's post is very generic, granted, but the essential idea is truly what we should all strive for.

Think of it this way: what is true love? True love is unconditional acceptance of a given person, place, thing, or situation. To gain unconditional acceptance, you need to realize you don't truly know anything...this is usually gained by lots of meditation and study to realize what you do know is practically drivel compared to what is out there.

If you truly love something, you are basically saying you accept whatever it is, despite it's flaws, faults, or differences. Swami asks how the idea of Love can possibly benefit the world? My retort to that is show me a war that would arise from a society that unconditionally accepts each other? To love something is to appreciate it, despite that you may not understand it or agree with it. Once you make your way past that first obstacle, the flood gates to Communication are opened, and that can potentially lead to Unity.

To love is to express the very essence of why we exist. My argument is show me a human situation that can't be solved by love.

Assuming you aren't born a bastard child, your very existance is possible due to the fact your parents loved each other enough to create you.

Primal programming for the old humpity-hump has nothing to do with love. All creatures procreate regardless of state of spiritual advancement.

Not sure what this has to do with the falsehood that ALL THINGS are possible with love.

*Yawn* Only the several hundreth time that I have been erroneously analyzed. Why is that that those who believe they have some understanding feel the need to stray off-topic and make things personal? Is it lack of emotional control? The inability to clearly discuss the topic that points them to the personalization? Whatever the pathology, it certainly is not an expression of love.

I don't mean to analyze you, I was just making an observation on the tone of your posts in general. I don't know you, or anything about your belief system, thats why I said 'you seem to' and not 'you do'. But reading it again, I see how it can be taken that way.

I was also just circumventing a roundabout debate, at least one I feel would take more than words to really convey my side of the coin. I didn't mean it to come off as a personal attack, so my apologies.

"Tone" is an interpretation filtered through your presuppositions. I write quite clearly, so trying to figure out where I am coming from is not necessary nor useful when responding.

No offense was taken, it is just very poor debating technique.

No greater love is this than when a man lays down his own life for another...Christ was the perfect example of this love in that He gave His life to set people free of there "self serving desires" and to totally abolish sin by the power of the Holy Ghost.........For if we walf after the Spirit, we walk not according to the flesh, (hence desires)....In the animal kindom have none of you a pet dog that is not a loyal companion, or a cat that does not show affection? but the dog is trained you say. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it....Take the family of wolf for instance do they not stay together as a pack and tend to the elders? Or the primates that do not care for there young and old alike?Love is all around us people,it's your choose though.......Where there is not love is fear.....

Love is infinite.

Civilization as we know it, only progressed through love.

Us, our spirit is an unperceivable emotion sponge.
Love is its primary goal.

i prefer to call it compassion though, as love has a stereotype ... that stereotype is false (e.g. physical attraction)

Jesus was a man, just like you or me.
He attained 'Godhood" which is possible by any man, but very scarce as you can see.

But that lion killed that gazelle out of love for his pack (family).

Swami has yet to see inside of himself, im sure hes a good bloke deep within.

Some people who post here perceive that ruffling another's feathers is a sign of some spiritual deficiency or immaturity; yet they forget that Christ was far from popular and was, in fact, killed for his teachings.

Gazzbut your judging me.

Your saying i shouldnt judge other people and saying that judging is wrong. And i was judging so your saying im wrong. Thus judging me, but contradiction is nature, so all forgiven.

.... what im trying to say is if you have your oppinion your judge people.

Swami started concentrating on negative which wasnt necesary (in my o-pinny-on.

e.g. this post was about love and he dragged death and negativity into it.

Judging has a postive and negative side. just like everything else.

I apologize for any offense.

And it wasnt anything bout ruffling feathers, but about what was stated previously.

What negativity? The truth is suddenly negative because you don't like it? Your statement about love binding all living things was proven false with a single statement.

I notice that NO ONE accepted "The Swami Not All Thing Are Possible with Love Challenge".

Seems the prevailing theme here is to just make up warm and fuzzy, yet nonsensical statements, with zero basis.

Christ was a man and and walked as a man amongst sinners. He was and is the Son of God that had the power to take His ownlife again but rather choose to lay it down, we attain God likeness through Him, for there is no other way

You judged me but i didnt judge you, i judged swami.

your contradicting yourself again.

also being spiritually elite is imposible. everyone is equal.

And no not all things are possible with love. But compassion is important, the most important thing. But not ALL is solved with it.

The truth is different to everyone.

All the above i stated is my oppinion which is no more valuable than your oppinion or less valuable than your oppinion. Im not arguing im just stating my oppinion no need to get hostile.

this isnt going anywhere soon ...
i do not wish for this argument to proceed.
