King County: Stumbled across some Gymnopilus Luteofolius today. Very waterlogged. I brought the little one home to print and noticed blue bruising spots. Can't wait to see how much these will pop in the coming flushes:

They didn’t use a drone to catch me, they had a spotting tower and binoculars. When I came out of the field they drew guns on me. FYI It pays to lock people up and possession of psilocybin is a felony in WA. I can only speak from personal experience but when I parked my car they ran the plates then watched me pick for 2hrs. There was a county cop, a state cop, park ranger and fish and game warden all working together. DO NOT PICK at Cape Disappointment, that’s my advice. Also I’m gonna add it completely fucked my life up and ended my career, so just don’t get caught; the consequences are real….

I find it interesting that 45 of your 49 posts are about the same thing, "stay away from such and such spot"? What gives? Either you really care or your really trying to keep people away for your own reasons?

Re: Cape Disappointment state park.
1) I personally observed a large red sign along the road inside the park in 2019 that said something to the effect that mushroom picking/hunting was unlawful. I've never seen such a sign elsewhere.
2) I personally met a person in May 2020 who told me had been arrested at Cape Disappointment state park a few years prior for picking mushrooms there. His story was not good. I doubt he was making it up. He had no reason to tell me a fantasy.
3) I have also read at least one news article about a person engaged in a legal fight over picking mushrooms in Cape Disappointment.
It seems only prudent to be aware of current laws and law enforcement at Cape D.

Nice finds!
All this Cape D talk makes me wanna hear more about ranger experiences on the Oregon side of the river.
Have heard everything from they are very strict and monitor closely to them being relatively lenient and space giving. Even heard a tale where a ranger pointed somebody in the right direction (I believe from the mouth of Paul Stamets in an interview).
I go to Ft Stevens somewhat often. I don't hunt actives there anymore but I see many individuals who appear to be blatantly hunting in the open, making no attempt to be unseen. But I never hear of anybody getting fined or arrested, or even interfered with.
I've always thought park rangers would be less inclined to act as law enforcers anyway. They could've been cops, but instead chose a theater of nature where the general mission is to maintain/protect a wilderness area. Seems more potentially adjacent to the "hippy" mindset, so I'd imagine most aren't even quick to label an individual's behavior as suspicious.
But then again.. the stories from the Washington side don't paint the same picture.

Me and my late best friend (Azrooj RIP) were down at Ft stevens picking on the main drag and a sheriff pulled over and questioned us, he was fairly polite, ran our info, and banned us once he found out my friend had a drug charge for mushroom possession. Another time Azrooj was hunting there and was hassled very aggressively by some rangers, but couldn't be charged bc he didn't have anything directly on him and they weren't monitoring closely This was prior to current Oregon legislation Just stay away from parks in general and try to avoid private property as best you can. Just keep moving! And fuck Heroin... I miss my best friend every single day
