He can probably match the million votes Eugene Debs got from a jail cell, so it will have symbolic value. Bernie is mostly done spending money, but any delegate he has exert some pressure on the Party to reform. It's not much, but he will push them a bit in the right direction.

I can't believe people actually like Joe. If he becomes president I have no hope for humanity. He said he's going to automatically choose a female vice president instead of choosing the most qualified person for the job. He said he's coming for everyone's rifles and when a union worker asked him about it he told him he was full of shit and bullied the guy. He says he's automatically going to let illegal immigrants stay in the United states which is fucking ridiculous. He's completely full of shit! The Democrats call Donald Trump a liar and then they choose an even bigger liar to replace him. Out of all those candidates you pick joe Biden! Are you people insane?

When Joe ran for president in the past, he ripped off entire speeches from other political figures, including anecdotes about his childhood lol. He even lied about having 3 college degrees, which college he want to, and said he graduated top of his class (he was in the bottom half).

He just lies whenever convenient. Joe Biden isn't just some witless old fart who constantly gaffs and makes a fool of himself. He'd an arrogant, aggressive, liar, who gets weirdly handsy with kids, and weirdly aggressive with his voters too.

Imagine having a leader who makes the kind of comments Biden made about liking kids to play with his leg hairs lol...

I will vote Trump over Biden. They are the same dude, but Trump is less embarrassing. What the fuck is wrong with America?

In America, we basically have to throw a few election cycles to implement a 3rd party. At least that's the way it seems, in my mind. A guy like Bernie might be able to swing it in one go, I don't know. The problem here, is that you have to get everyone to jump ship all at once.

Your thoughts about the Supreme court are exactly mine. It is literally the only reason I would vote for Biden, but I don't really expect Biden to make a choice much better than Kavanaugh.

Yeah, comprehend and respect that it's not as easy as "just" voting third party in the US
but it is also frustrating to reflect on the fact that Bernie spent 2 election cycles trying to move into the space of the two party system
only to have the party he was supporting not support him

Frustrating... Yes. Utterly frustrating. Infuriatingly frustrating lol.

America was set up in a way that is very resilient against radical change. Conservatives have been making incremental changes for a long time now, and it's beginning to add up to something serious inn Washington. Democrats have won a few basic human rights, like gay rights.

The real shit of it is that American politics are world politics in a lot of ways. America puts pressure on other countries to do things our way. Like drug policy. Our election has an impact far beyond our boarders.

+1 add armed conflicts.

If you had a 3rd party, could a prez still be voted in with less than 50% of the popular vote? Just wondering as we end up with coalition government all the time, however we don't elect Kings whoops sorry presidents separately.
This executive privilege, over-ruling the courts, is something I don't see as helpful to an independent justice system. Just saying.

Look, most developed countries have multiple parties and their leaders still need 51% to win.
The two-party system and, more so, the electoral college is a relic of the past. An unintended consequence of a compromise made to free the slaves. It has no place in 2020.

There are simple solutions. For example, in Ukraine there are 2 rounds of elections. If no one gets 51% in the first round, the top 2 winners run against each other in the 2nd.

I prefer the parliamentary system. There are multiple parties and the dominant party usually doesn't get a majority and they form coalitions with one or more parties. In return the dominant party makes some concessions. This results in more power sharing, and I think it's closer to democracy than what we have.

Yes. It makes voters feel helpless. Nobody wants Biden. He's a terrible candidate that has been thrust upon us.

This election was, yet again, rigged. When people realize that there are no democratic means to fight back, what will they do?

People who are unstable, drug addled, without much to live for, who have a tendency toward violence... What happens, when we've had enough?

Third party is not the solution.

It's time we donned our aprons and pitch forms. It's dinner time.

Dude, the popular vote isn’t even close. The fact is a lot more people want Biden than sanders. If you mean, most of those people wanted someone other than Biden, then maybe but that’s how this shit works. Sanders failed to interest anyone who didn’t already support him, probably because his supporters are totally insufferable.

There’s also the fact - not really addressed directly very often - that Americans are not inclined to support someone who describes themselves as a socialist.

If nobody gets a majority of electoral college votes (270) then the House of Representatives chooses the president with each state delegation getting one vote. That’s right Wyoming would get as much say as California. You thought the electoral college was bad.

The first paragraph is just fact. Biden has won significantly more votes than sanders. In fact Biden is leading less in the delegate count than his popular vote lead would indicate. Sanders is actually benefiting from the DNC rules about who gets delegates.

The second paragraph is simply an observation that anyone that has a clue about American culture can make.

None of this requires the media to figure it out. You are just obsessed with being right and cannot handle that other people don’t think the way you do so you’ve convinced yourself if it weren’t for the people being brainwashed by the establishment, people would agree with you.
