People voted against Labour because they didnt like the leadership, probably because the media smeared him as an antisemite. If you look at the exit polls there were plenty of people who liked the policies.

Bernie's policy platform is all favored by a majority of US voters. Not just Democrats, voters in general. But of course the media and party establishment figures will still fearmonger about the mythical " moderate voter" who will be turned off by that platform, simply because they dont want to lose their strangehold on the party or see their own taxes go up.
