Sure, I think it's sad that the mainstream media isn't a good source of news, but that's what makes sources like Jimmy Dore all the more relevant.

Dore might have some good politics deep down but he’s a reactionary, and not even a good comedian. He bitches endlessly about Hillary and Obama and makes little to no systemic critiques, and that’s why low info voters, and people in the right love him. And since he got shitcanned from TYT, he’s gravitating towards what’s keeping his career going: telling right wingers that Hillary is bad. Like Michael Tracey, he’s coasting on predicting Russiagate was a nothingburger, something you yourself regularly boast on.

I guess my main gripe is he doesn’t say anything his audience doesn’t already know. He had a fantastically bad take about Lava Jato in Brazil. The dude is just surface level left liberal and he shows his ass anytime he tries to go deeper than that.

If you want a mildly left, mildly funny politics show with some actual substance (rather than an angry guy telling you both side are bad for an hour) do yourself a favor and watch The Majority Report, or the Michael Brooks Show, instead. Hell even Tim Black is an improvement.

I mean honestly, what do you gain from Jimmy Dore? What do you learn? It’s self congratulatory pablum.

So you're calling me a low info voter, while admitting I was right in predicting Russiagate would be a nothingburger.  Maybe you can provide just one example of a monumentally bad take from Jimmy Dore so that I finally understand what you're talking about?

Jimmy regularly admits he's not that smart, and I agree he's not that funny (though he is entertaining).  He's one of the handful of people that covers things the mainstream media refuses to cover.

Unfortunately, instead of providing a single example of a monumentally bad take from Jimmy Dore, we got pages and pages of a dissertation on why you don't have to back yourself up.  :shrug:

I haven't seen his video on Lava Jato in Brazil. Maybe that's your example of a bad take?

I think everyone should stop voting. To truly run for president you have to be corrupt.  Trump,yang,biden,Bernie and all the rest are controlled obviously. Your vote doesn't matter.

That’s not the point. Calling out CNN is easy. Anyone watching Jimmy Dore’s show has a negative view of CNN. The point is being better than CNN is a low bar.

And I’ve already said going after the half of the country that doesn’t vote is a better strategy than trying to convert republicans to the left.

In regards to the lava jato: he basically hails them as nonpartisan truth seekers without an agenda, then doubles down after they have impeach Roussef in a soft coup and imprison Lula de Silva. It was later revealed by Glenn Greenwald (another lefty anti-russiagate person) that operation car wash was a right wing driven hit machine from the start, and the attacks on Roussef and Lula were a joint effort from the right wing and the judges/prosecutors who ran the operation.

See Jimmy sees a commission set up ostensibly to root out corruption and he’s all for it, even after it takes down the Brazilian left and helps install a fascist. This is the logical conclusion of the whole “I’ll agree with the right if the left is wrong” mentality.  If politics was guided by the virtue of truth we wouldn’t be here. And that’s not to mention that Lula’s charges were entirely trumped up, and Roussef’s “crimes” amounted to an accounting error. Dore is too dumb to see the bigger implications of things like java jato and he’s too arrogant to admit when he’s wrong about it after the fact.

I disagree, you have to go after people that are registered to vote and will vote.

Again, Trump won on an Anti-Establishment platform.  That platform only works because of the MSM is full of dishonesty and the Democratic Party won't stop with the endless false narratives against Trump.

I truly believe that if Bernie isn't the Democratic candidate, the Jimmy Dore's of the world are going to make a convincing argument to give Trump the vote just out of spite and frustration.

I don't know the timeline of her meeting. I think she was doing it to promote peace, and now some people (some named Hillary) are using it to call her a stooge for Russia. It's an old cold war trick. Because you know, if you're for peace, then you must be advocating American submission.
