Did my transfers. Sab work is night work. Peaceful, cool morning. My grabbies aint working good though. Fumbled some stuff. Did multiples so it'll prolly be alright.

you do two liters of agar at a time? Damn son. I've done that before but usually just pour fifty or sixty plates with a liter.

Yerp. Got myself a 2000ml erlenmyer that I pour with too:wink:

That is I pour into a smaller plastic pitcher that I pour the plates with

This is adding an unnecessary step/possible contam vector to the process.

Maybe but i really like it. It doesnt drip so I actually work faster with it. And no issues ever in thousands of plates.  Try pouring a full 2liter flask into a plate... Its not fun

I'd run that volume of liquid 40+ personally...

Also, I'd opt to do smaller batches and pour from the sterile vessel... rather eliminating the purpose beyond cooking the agar to set :2cents:

Itโ€™s late and should be in bed, started lurking here again yesterday after a long time away. Itโ€™s like coming back to an old friend. Nice to see all the names again and the good advice being given to all the new up and comers. Some things have changed and a lot of things are the same I see.  :fonda:

Shroomery helped me massively and Iโ€™ve had great results, I just want to say thanks. I never did upload all my photos, paranoia got the better of me, but Iโ€™m gonna soon, just got to get round to it clear meta data etc.

Anyway peace, nice to be back  :cheers:
