My uncle let me in on a century long joke

And I feel like I should spread the knowledge.

As everyone knows, once you got that special age you must go in for a colonoscopy. From there you bend over, touch your toes, and brace yourself.

Well I'm here to let you know that this is not true and has been an ongoing joke. You actually go in for a routine check up. Blood work and blood pressure checks.

However... I know there are a few who went in and had to touch the toes. Unfortunately, this was not okay. You saw a creepy doctor that gets off to sticking his fingers up men poopers.

I know it might be embarrassing but you must talk to someone about it and report your doctor.

Right. That's why they go in and remove polyps that develop within your colon.

Back then, they didn't have fancy cameras, so they used fingers.

Have your colon checked.

Cancer is no joke.

Colon cancer caught at stage 1 has a %99 chance of being cured. They just analyse your turds once a year to check these days.

It's worth check for especially if you eat a SAD and are over 50.

I complained about constipation and they made me get checked for blockages,she put on a glove and stuck fingers up there, I was only like 21 at the time, thats why im never going back to a mental health facility

OP, that's the digital rectal exam. It's used to estimate prostate size, along with a Prostate-Specific Antigen blood test. If both indicate prostatic enlargement, a transrectal ultrasound will be ordered to determine whether you have prostate cancer or benign prostatic hyperplasia.
