Bro-in-law gave me a 'Sony Digital/Audio Control Center'. What all does it do?

Ok this is a Sony Digital/Audio Control Center model #STR DE845. He gave it to me cause he 'has no use for it anymore' and because the remote broke.
What all can it do? I have no clue. Will it power my 10 inch sub and speakers and all?? If I can't use it, how much you think it's worth?

What is your 10inch sub rated at? Make sure the specs of your sub and speakers match up. You dont want to blow anything.

I think the sub is like 600 watts, if not, very close. Pretty sure it's 600.

Do you know the impedance of the voice coils? Hopefully it's 8 ohms. If not, it won't be the best performance but it should still work.

I dont see why anything shouldn't work. You should give it a go.

It's a stereo receiver.... kinda standard in a home audio set up.

My dad has the same exact one.
It can manage sound and actually 2 sets of speakers (the A/B dial on the bottom left under power button)for many different components--dvd, cd, tuner, tv, etc. etc.

This unit is your main component. hook up speakers to it, and hook up all your components individually to where it corresponds in the back. the buttons in front will select the audio for each component.

I'm sure brand new it was like $400.
now? maybe $100, $150? check eBay
