A friend and myself were out hunting today, Bagged out nicely with plenty of cool pictures to come but I'm not fucking happy.

A bunch of kids had messed around with my car whilst we were down in a spot.

Rule number 1, Don't fucking touch other cars that aren't yours, We know what car you drive so we'll be waiting for you next time or we'll just come have a chat with you, Not the friendly kind of chat either.

The people who messed with your car are definitely not hunters. I always worry about my car when I park to go trek as it's usually in a spot where there's not much movement. People need to respect other people's shit. Let me know if you need some backup to scare these punks! Mush love ❤️

Hey guys please help. In the ground these dude look legit but then they don't go blue. Can someone tell me if they aren't decent, why? How to tell the difference?

Yeah...I wouldn't be eating those lol. The picture quality is very poor, especially the colour so it is hard to see. Looks like you might have one or two subs there (check with a TI with some better pics) but most of them should be thrown away. The brown stems are a dead give away, subs should have silvery white stems with blue/black streaks unless they're old or waterlogged in which case don't pick these old ones if you aren't experienced. Tje caps are also much darker than youd typically see with subs. Subs are very distinctive and it's hard to mistake fresh ones for anything else. The gills if we could see them would be the wrong colour too I'd imagine. Next time make an ID thread.

Checked my northern patches today..they have already taken off. Looks like a flush came up  maybe 4-6 days ago and a second flush is currently underway.

Plenty of huge, pristine flying saucers in one patch, heaps of nipples and countless pins. It was impossible not to step on some when moving around. My other north patch was restricted to the hilltops but a couple of patches had chucked out dozens of pins. Certainly more around already than you could ever need to pick.

Okay so after 26 hours all up of trecking through the hills I think I finally struck gold!! I Would just like to thank everyone that gave me advice and helped with giving me info on what ideal habitat locations look like, being my first year trying to find em it made it alot easier deciding what areas to hunt so cheers guys means alot.... if these aren't subs then I'm gonna look very stupid but I've spent hours looking at different pics and going through the threads on this amazing site so I'm 90% sure these are what I've been searching for haha also I saw another person comment saying that the aminita muscarias are out in abundance and I couldn't agree more, obviosuly this is my first year hunting so I have nothing to compare it too but I must have seen over 1000 in my travels....they look so god damn cool!! (the brown one on the end of the 3rd pic obviously isn't one I just put it there as reference so could see the difference...those brown suckers are absolutely everywhere!)

Bit of luck, lot of footwork. Keep looking and you'll find them. Now is the time, we should be getting more rains from Sunday. Saturday would be a perfect day to search before the next 'flush'.

It's a bit like fishing, experienced hunters seem to have a knack for making their own luck. (Usually by spending way, way more hours out there than anyone else)

Nice pics, Thing you're definitely inspiring me. I should be able to get out tomorrow arvo to my regular spots and beat the weekend rush.
