open borders? you mean the way it was when Europeans flooded the eastern coast throughout the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. now all of these European descendants are crying about open borders being an issue. what a load of hypocritical bullcrap. it sickens me. and people talk about immigrants as if they are bad. they are humans like us, no less and no more. the US prides itself on being such an opportunistic place that calls to people from all over EARTH to come here and prosper.  its ridiculous.. the ignorant bullshit is riding a high tide as of late.

That was not the way it was when European settlers came. The lack of social safety net selected for a vastly different segment of the population. The social safety net (welfare) changes everything.

Before Europeans built America the only type of people who came were those who believed they could make it on their own. Which meant they were tenacious and hard working.

Take a guess here, how many social services do you think an illegal immigrant qualifies for in a typical democratic state in America?

Today Democrats lure large swaths of poor people from countries with low IQ's to come to America and go on welfare where they then vote for more Democrats and more democratic policies, like the socialist policies that destroyed their own countries, they come to America and vote for that. Why do you think so many prominent democrats switched their positions on immigration?

In terms of the quality of immigrant you're getting to a country I think Dnesh Dsouza says it best when he describes how "the farther an immigrant has to come, the more capable he'll be." meaning that an immigrant who has to come from say India has to travel a much farther distance, and therefore has a much stricter selection factor for getting here, where as say a 9 month pregnant Mexican only has to trip across a border crossing and boom the whole family is in.

More then the Democratic plan to import a faithful voting block. Why would you want to take hundreds of thousands of people from a country with an average IQ below 100 without some kind of selection factor?

More importantly than that, why isn't this allowed to be discussed in mainstream immigration discussions?

Correct me if my statement is in error
but it appears by the colour palette and the discrepency between the US and Canada
that Canada ranks at an average IQ of 100 while the US ranks at an average IQ of 95

and have personally had a long distance relationship with a woman from Texas fail because she was able to fly up to visit Canada but unable to move here
the inhibiting factor in terms of selection was that the government recognized my inability to support her without a job
she herself is a fully qualified pharmacist, but Canada does not 'count' such factors as superceding partner's status
unless the individual has been granted an employment position before moving

I think 110 is the average for most college graduates so probably around there. Hard work and determination can compensate to an extent, but it only goes so far. Everyone has a certain threshold of complexity that once reached is simply impassible.

It was very difficult for me to come to terms with the idea that there is an upper bound for each person that can not be passed simply by applying more effort. I can understand why so many people would rather not think about it.

You think Dnesh D’Souza is a quality immigrant? He’s a fucking convicted felon. The lack of self awareness to quote an actual CRIMINAL IMMIGRANT as an authority on the type of immigrant this country should allow IS FUCKING HILARIOUS.

So you haven't a clue about where you stack up on the IQ leaderboard, but you think it makes sense to disparage someone else based on that metric?  I don't know about college graduates, but 110 is the upper end of average, so you're probably right about that at least.  Of course, there isn't much difference between 90 and 110.  you have to deviate further from the mean for individual points to matter very much.

Average iq is 100 teens.  Depends on iq test, there are many.

Iq tests are mainly rigid in form.  Testing learned ability or differences similarities in shapes.  They don't test a lot of social intelligence or even emotional intelligence.

I test high average to gifted depending on test and day.  But absolutely retarded emotionally.  Cannot read a face in a drawing for the life of me.

The only reason I brought it up is because it belongs in the discussion. Even NBC is starting to take notice https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/think/amp/ncna1008576

First world nations only exist by the grace of borders!!!!  So why in the world would I want no borders, so I can start living a third world standard of living?  I don't think so.

The world is define by borders and property rights.  This fantasy of sharing everything with everybody is just for shit and giggles.

Environmental factors are more important than genetics. Things like learning multiple languages, intellectual and visual stimulation, musical training, etc during a person’s formative years will increase their intelligence. Nutrition and health is crucial. For example, people in the south were notoriously intellectually handicapped by rampant hookworm infection. Look at the IQ map. You think it’s a coincidence that the lowest IQ countries straddle the equator?

thanks for the update.
if you're interested in the topic, search the words "flynn effect" posted by me.  you'll come up with a bunch of stuff I posted in arguments like this one a couple years ago.  That'll be easier for me than debunking whatever conclusions you've come to manually.

IQ tests are scored based on standard deviations in a normal population distribution. The median score is defined at 100, at least originally.

Every 15 points is one standard deviation. If 100 is the median, than 50% are above and 50% are below.

115 or 85 is better or worse than 84%
130 or 70 is better or worse than 97%.
145 or 55 is better or worse than 99.5%
When you get to 175 or 25 you are approaching one in two million. (Only one person out
Of 1.7 million have an IQ greater than 175)

If the median IQ is shifted away from 100, the standard deviations are still 15 point above and below that modified median

Just like universities “disparage” the students they decide to take or not. Or how the military “disparages” which candidates can apply for which positions. Knowledgeable, informed decisions about qualifications is now “disparaging” towards candidates that aren’t accepted.
