They start at $2000, easy. Better ballistics than the MP5. Shot one and was amazed at the effective range. The design looks like RoboCop had a wet dream.

Meanwhile,back in NJ,(where we still don't have legal MJ:gc:)
"State authorities say they’ve filed a first-of-its-kind lawsuit against a gun retailer accused of selling a kit to assemble an AR-15 rifle to an undercover investigator in New Jersey months after the Garden State banned “ghost guns."

A complaint filed in Superior Court in Essex County on Friday accuses a California gun dealer, U.S. Patriot Armory, of ignoring a cease-and-desist letter sent by the state attorney general in December, weeks after Gov. Phil Murphy signed a new law making it a third-degree crime to purchase firearm parts with the purpose of assembling a gun without a serial number."

Here's how they found them, drug bust 2 weeks ago.

Just curious where you stand on the idea of a blanket gun ban?
It is well documented that handguns are the most common firearm in homicide cases. According to FBI.gov statistics, over 65% of homicides in the U.S. are committed with handguns. Out of 11,004 firearm related homicides in the US in 2016, only 374 of those homicides were from rifles (of any kind).
Handguns killed more people than all other types of firearms combined. In 2016, they were responsible for 47% OF ALL HOMICIDES IN THE US while all rifles accounted for just 2.4% of homicides in the US. So my point is: if we're trying to lower firearm related homicides, why wouldnt you ban the guns that KILL BY FAR THE MOST PEOPLE?

The problem with handguns is the Supreme Court has ruled that they cannot be banned. That is not the case for semiautomatic rifles. The New Zealand ban would be constitutional in the US.

.

I think a blanket gun ban in the US could result in the largest stateside disaster since the Civil War. It could even spur a new civil war.

The only way a blanket gun ban could work IMO would be a three step process.

1. Completely change the culture nationwide to the extent that almost nobody is pro second amendment.

2. Repeal the Second Amendment.

3. Ban guns.

It ain't gonna happen. The real world options are; learn to deal with guns, or leave the US.

Like it or not, gun ownership is a civil right is the US. As a matter of principle I am against the government setting a precedent of repealing guaranteed rights.

That remains to be seen.  I doubt a full ban of all semi-auto rifles would be constitutional.

Just so you know I don't actually want a blanket gun ban, I was making the point that if cutting down firearm related homicides was the #1 priority as those in charge say it is, then banning handguns would be the first thing to do. I also happen to think banning handguns would be a gross violation of our constitutional rights and bear little to no positive consequences.

I think that most gun bans are ridiculous in concept after looking at the actual amount of homicides being committed with the guns they're banning. Mainstream media has made a large portion of people afraid of rifles when they account for only about 3.5% of firearm homicide.

Hypothetical Q: What do you do if you one day go postal and want to commit a mass shooting-- but all assault rifles are banned in your country? Maybe buy a Smith & Wesson 9mm SD9s, a semi automatic HANDGUN with 16 shots till reload plus one in the chamber. With an extra clip you could bring down 20-30 people in a crowded area. Plus its way easier to conceal and ammo is cheap and abundant.

"The Virginia Tech shooter killed 32 and injured 17 with two handguns, one of which had a 10-round magazine and the other a 15-round magazine. He simply brought 19 extra magazines."

My point is that if a whackjob really wanna go on a murder spree he does not need an assault rifle to do it. People try all kinds of things like improvised explosives, the 1982 Tylenol murders, or most popularly, the handgun. The banning of assault rifles wont stop these reoccurring deranged fucks from their sick ways.

Fun Facts:
-Knives are responsible for over 4X as many murders as rifles per year
-Mass shooting account for about 0.2% of homicides per year
-Over 90% of mass shooting occur in "Gun Free Zones"
-Bombings, mass stabbings, and car attacks frequently kill more people than even the deadliest mass shootings

What I really need to protect myself is a bomb .
.
Bombs don’t kill people people kill people . What we need are good guys with bombs , not bomb control . If you don’t own a bomb and don’t know shit about all the different types of bombs out there don’t even bother giving me your opinion about bomb ownership.

Ahem* Straw Man argument.. (attacking a position the opponent doesn’t really hold)

I never suggested that there are mass stabbing that kill 40,50 people. I simply pointed out a reputable statistic- that knives kill more people ~per year~ than rifles.

FBI Homicide Statistics
Knives or cutting instruments----1,604
Rifles----374
Handguns----7,105

Do you think handguns should be banned as well?

Someone find out a way to determine how potent that stat is tho. Because yeah handguns kill wayy more people, but way more people have handguns. So what are the proportions there, you know?

I  didn’t say guns should be banned , I said bombs should be legal .

You said that . But you also said :

Which is just epic nonsense . I wasn’t making a strawman at all . That’s bullshit too .
